I'm utterly appalled, ohmymimi. Shocked and appalled.Grin

Should add, BTW, that the US companies involved have denied (perhaps rather narrowly) the story about the spy chips. So who knows.

Yes it’s the left who is cynical here. Not the guy who lectures us all on integrity and tribalism and votes with Trump a 100 % of the time. Give me a break.

Uhoh, inconvenient logic from a Foxnick:
John Roberts
@johnrobertsFox
The only flaw in this explanation is - if you played four people in a triangle game, one would never have to drink, because the glasses would always be closer to the other three. Unless you rotate the glasses after every turn.

Another point about McGahn and the GOP push to confirm, based on more conversations this afternoon: He, more than almost any other witness, knows what Mueller is asking about possible obstruction of justice. And that Mueller report is likely being sent to DOJ after the election.

Wonder whyHmm
'A Supreme Court Case Could Liberate Trump to Pardon His Associates'
Gamble v. United States isn’t related to the Russia investigation. But the outcome—which one senior Republican senator has tried to influence—could still have consequences for the probe.'

Utah lawmaker Orrin Hatch, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, filed a 44-page amicus brief earlier this month in Gamble v. United States, a case that will consider whether the dual-sovereignty doctrine should be put to rest. The 150-year-old exception to the Fifth Amendment’s double-jeopardy clause allows state and federal courts to prosecute the same person for the same criminal offense. According to the brief he filed on September 11, Hatch believes the doctrine should be overturned. “The extensive federalization of criminal law has rendered ineffective the federalist underpinnings of the dual sovereignty doctrine,” his brief reads. “And its persistence impairs full realization of the Double Jeopardy Clause’s liberty protections.”

Conservative Group Wants You to Believe Iran’s President Endorsed Beto O’Rourke

A neoconservative foreign policy group appeared to try and get audio recorded claiming erroneously that Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-TX) Senate campaign was endorsed by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The campaign appears to have not made it into production, and maybe never will, as the site where the group posted a call for voice actors took down the solicitation on the grounds that the script was clearly false.

Before it was removed, a screenshot of that posting—which was made on the website Voicebunny in August—was provided to The Daily Beast on an anonymous tip line. According to the posting, the company producing the ad was “trying to do a voice dubbing of the Iranian President, so the voiceover needs to sound middle eastern and stern.”

Foxy may have found a flaw in the "Devil's Triangle = drinking game" story, but it ain't the only one.

I've just wasted part of my day reading the letter from Bart's mates about it, and just like Barty, their unnecessary elaboration has set the story up to fail.

They say "'Devil's Triangle' was a drinking game we came up with in high school."

If that's true, any claims by anyone unconnected to them to have played the same game and called it by the same name MUST be false. Since how would the unconnected people know game + name?

And interestingly, in that Fox Twitter thread linked above, there's one reply that does claim to know the game. And that reply happens to add the message "used to vote Dem but won't any more" – which we saw being a specific troll/bot campaign a few weeks ago.

That fake "message from the Iranian President"!

The same organisation has 17 other completed audio-actor jobs on the same website. According to the article, it looks like the organisation is Secure America Now, which is part-funded by the Mercers.

www.thedailybeast.com/fake-ad-claiming-irans-president-endorsed-beto-orourke-is-pulled-from-production
Secure America Now is also referenced in a New York Times report as an organization that Elliott Broidy, former deputy finance chairman of the Republican National Committee, said he was “working with” to get the Trump administration to fill positions favorable to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

He shows he isn't SC Court Material every time he comments.
Kavanaugh says his testimony might have been 'too emotional' and 'sharp'
Now he's saying his judgement isn't sound.

I did read somewhere the reason they are sticking with him is he was the only shortlist candidate to give his loyalty to Trump. None of the others were willing to do that.
