The Graham denomination plea is curious.

Do they know suspect the extended background check is going to go against them?

Is a rejected Kavanaugh more useful to the GOP as a pawn in the culture wars?

Are they setting this up as a mid term strategy to entice GOP out to vote because of the S.C. and the 'any man could have his career ruined' rhetoric?

The denial of visas will affect same-sex partners.

Same-sex spouses will still be allowed visas, but the sticking point is that only 12% of UN countries permit same-sex marriage, and some criminalise it.

I've heard Ben Wittes argue Kavanaugh was a good judge who should be confirmed on a number of occasions in the past month. He's changed his mind.
