New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

The interview makes seems to go put of it's way to give the impression that the door will always being open to her at LW, and there's references to her possible return in the future if she happens to have the time.

Chuckling at the suggestion that KW and her family should buy up the entire front row on her opening night. Can you imagine Grin.

I hope KW is doing Ok though, this must be so hard for her. Yes, it looks like she can be a bit of a dragon but I think she's great - I'd rather have a friend like her, someone brutally honest even though volatile but with a kind heart underneath than a smug two faced bully. Women like CN and co are the reason I don't have many friends, but I do have good ones!

I think it's also worth remembering that producers etc no doubt helped cultivate and actively encouraged the tough, brutally honest 'matron' side of her when she was in HCIYH. I also thinks she hides behind that public persona of hers.

Also people saying how awful KW on CBB - on I'm a celebrity she was really well liked, and came second. That doesn't add up, nor does the amount of ex colleagues etc speaking out in her defence and saying how lovely she is. No one did that for ANY of the LW crew, and many said the opposite about CN - that' she' s a nasty bit of work. She only seems well liked by a select little crew at ITV and their clique. I've lost respect for all involved and won't want to watch any of them in the future.

But other people well, they seems either oblivious, or see what they want to.

MrsJackman10 · 04/09/2018 18:42

As I said upthread, CN will leave quietly under the guise of working on her "music" but we all know it's because keeping her is a liability for the show. ITV don't want to accept blame for any of it so can't sack her publicly! Bye bye Colleen, don't let the door hit your career on its way out!

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 04/09/2018 18:45

Interesting how all the people so offended by Coleen's crimes are exhibiting far worse bitchiness on here than she ever did.

Peanutbuttercups21 · 04/09/2018 18:50

It is worrying there is a petition to get her sacked, and all these online character assassinations are distasteful too

Bit like a public lynching

Yes she behaved badly, and she is a boring person, well, then just don't watch LW! Easy.

She has not broken any law.

derxa · 04/09/2018 18:54

Interesting how all the people so offended by Coleen's crimes are exhibiting far worse bitchiness on here than she ever did. Her crime is being very unprofessional. She was supposed to be a host on a discussion show not a participant in bear baiting.

HelenaDove · 04/09/2018 18:56

ITV have become a gutter channel dripping with hypocrisy. It goes much deeper than CN Its obviously in the culture at ITV.

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 04/09/2018 19:09

Being unprofessional? That's what people on here reckon her crime is? And that justifies the absolute annihilation she's received?

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 04/09/2018 19:16

She's booked for the new Bonus Arena in Hull. The 3,500 capacity arena. Good luck selling that out Hmm

lightonthewater · 04/09/2018 19:18

She's shown herself to be an absolute bitch, but it's not just her, it's her horrible sister and Janet SP.

Everyoneiswingingit · 04/09/2018 19:23

I watched LW live when it happened .I think CN and LW should have apologised. They had a bad idea, they could have pulled it as soon as it started to go wrong, they didn't. CN acted appallingly as a host of the show.
I didn't sign the petition because I think she acted badly but could have apologised and put it right after the event. I disagree with the nastiness that has followed other than people calling for an apology. Of course people tweeting awful things is unforgivable. BUT Coleen, when you and your family like to play that game too, you can't really start playing the victim.
All of this could have been avoided and calling out trolls that do not represent the vast majority of people annoyed is just a way of garnering pity. I am surprised your PR isn't better, I reckon I could do better with absolutely no experience!

Everyoneiswingingit · 04/09/2018 19:26

FWIW I don't like what the media are doing to Roxanne Pallet. She did a very wrong thing. She has however, given a full, no holds barred apology. Leave it there, she can't do any more now.
Coleen could learn a lot.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 04/09/2018 19:31

It doesn't surprise me to learn that CN's marriage has disintegrated - in the link schooldays posted there is a picture of her giving her "D"H a kiss - he doesn't look as though he's enjoying it much - actually, he doesn't look as though he's enjoying it at all.

CN's defender can say what they like - I have watched the incident and I know what I saw - a coven of vindictive harridans ganging up on a single individual - and one who they knew was emotionally vulnerable, which compounds their iniquity.

As human beings they are spiteful and cowardly; and professional hosts they are totally unfitting to the role. And in denying their behaviour they have proved themselves liars as well - and I don't call someone that lightly.

CN was the ringleader, but the other three colluded with her.

Pompadourpink · 04/09/2018 19:32

I've just watched the clip. I'm no Coleen fan but Kim was behaving unreasonably and I thought she was quite restrained under such provocation. Linda Robson didn't deserve the way Kim treated her. Coleen did apologise after the ad break and said it wasn't what they expected.

I think too much is being made of this now. It feels like a witch hunt.

PrickWhittington · 04/09/2018 19:32

Interesting how all the people so offended by Coleen's crimes are exhibiting far worse bitchiness on here than she ever did

Where? I see criticism of her behaviour, not personal insults. No one has called her a 'vile, evil 'witch' or any thing like that now have they?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 04/09/2018 19:33

Being unprofessional? That's what people on here reckon her crime is? And that justifies the absolute annihilation she's received?

When her crime involves the deliberate humiliation, degradation and emotional savaging of another human being - yes. It does justify the "absolute annihilation" she's received.

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 04/09/2018 19:35

I see criticism of her behaviour, not personal insults.

Then you need to read this thread, and its predecessor, a little more thoroughly.

PrickWhittington · 04/09/2018 19:37

CN's defender can say what they like - I have watched the incident and I know what I saw - a coven of vindictive harridans ganging up on a single individual - and one who they knew was emotionally vulnerable, which compounds their iniquity

Exactly. You, me and a LOT of people saw that. The worst bit for me was the sarcastic 'we know' comments when KW tried to talk of past abuse. That bit was totally unforgivable.

The bottom line is, CN has not apologised. Or seen the issue. Disgraceful, the lot of them.

schoolday · 04/09/2018 19:38

No point trying to gag people on an Internet forum by calling them names. Doesn’t work. People are expressing their opinions anonymously. And that’s the thing. No one has said anything worse on here than the people did on the LW show that I’ve read. Difference is, they are people in the public eye and were being filmed. As we’ve seen this week, their careers depend on public support do, like it or not, they have to keep quiet or suffer the consequences.

I don’t.

As long as I don’t break the law with my comments, I can give my opinion with no repercussions to myself whatsoever.

PrickWhittington · 04/09/2018 19:42

Then you need to read this thread, and its predecessor, a little more thoroughly

How patronising. I think you need to watch the clip a 'little more thoroughly'.

If this thread is indeed full of bullying/ personal insults' then why not quote some examples? Show us what all us simpletons are missing Hmm

Pompadourpink · 04/09/2018 19:43

I've just watched the This Morning clip. Again, I'm not a Coleen fan but I thought her distress was genuine. She behaved unprofessionally as the host of the programme, but I don't believe it was deliberate. The whole incident was foolish but I don't believe it was planned. The producers should never have allowed it.

PrickWhittington · 04/09/2018 19:47

Great post schoolday

PrickWhittington · 04/09/2018 19:51

'Absolute annihilation'' [hmm}

'Annihilation - to destroy or completely obliterate something'.

REALLY appropriate in this context ffs ...

Ridiculous comment.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 04/09/2018 19:57

I'm not a Coleen fan but I thought her distress was genuine

Of course her distress was genuine - that's her bank balance, career and public esteem she sees disappearing over the horizon. She's bound to break her heart! But her pity is all for herself. She is not remorseful - she's miserable.

Teenageromance · 04/09/2018 20:18

She’s upset because she has lost her only cash cow - I’ve no doubt behind the scenes pressure is being put on her to resign to save the show.
It was appalling that she didn’t say more to apologise - it truly was the most enormous ignorance of life, mental health issues, her ‘popularity’ and her value as a celebrity. Someone posted the lack of professionalism in whispering asides as a co- host of a programme. I really think she had got so arrogant she thought she was in her own front room.
