Has anyone else just watched Loose Women/Kim Woodburn’s outburst?

Is there any evidence of this linda nolan actually singing?

sweethope · 01/09/2018 01:00

It kind of saddens me when people don't recognise bullying. Perhaps this is why it isn't always acknowledged in schools, people can't see what's going on before their eyes.

maybebaby2018 · 01/09/2018 01:00

Here’s a fact. Thousands of people have complained yet there has been no apology from any of them.

sweethope · 01/09/2018 01:04

Linda Robson should have kept out of it. Who wouldn't have felt under attack with that remark as soon as she came on. She made it clear it was the whole panel against Kim right from the off.

PrickWhittington · 01/09/2018 01:08

I think that's quite ambiguous from Rylan, actually. Could be taken either way.

There's an article in the Sun which says that Rylan phoned KW in the middle of their interview with her to offer his support , so I don't think it his message was meant to convey her in a negative light

I didn’t read that as negative towards Kim. He wouldn’t have said “Jesus Christ Loose Women”, he would have said “Jesus Christ Kim” if he’d thought it was her doing.

Ladybirdbookworm · 01/09/2018 01:30

I'm disturbed by the audience reaction. Typical mob behaviour ...they should feel ashamed of themselves too.

KarlDilkington · 01/09/2018 02:14

It's interesting how different the initial replies to this thread are - all against KW and when you flip the thread it's the opposite.

maybebaby2018 · 01/09/2018 02:49

Maybe for some the clip needed watching again. It’s been widely acknowledged that Kim was set up and perhaps the set up worked at first (the studio audience were even applauding abuse) until the clip was reviewed and the snide comments heard in full.

Certainly the commenting by both public and celebrities alike has gathered force the longer it has gone on. So more people would have joined the thread late.

knittedwoollenmouse · 01/09/2018 05:07

Kim gave out some hefty insults in this unsavoury episode too.

As a person does when they’re ambushed and bullied. Not all bullied people are meek, timid and cowed. Is this how they’re supposed to respond? Was KW wrong to have been on the defensive and to have retaliated? It must really get people’s backs up when the bullied dare to fight back. The audacity of it!

KW doesn’t meet the expectations others have of her and refuses to be cowed. She’s obviously traumatised by what happened in that big brother fiasco and is carrying that anger with her. She appears to be a person who values honesty and, unfortunately she isn’t going to find it amongst the people she’s working with.

ITV are a gutter channel. I hope she finds a different way of making money and stops relying on them for work or just retires.

Roussette · 01/09/2018 06:56

I am trying to imagine how I would've felt walking into that bear pit. I would feel ambushed. I would look towards the likes of LindaRobson for a bit of support and when I realised I wasn't going to get it from her, I would feel surrounded and picked on. They were goading for a reaction. How I would react I don't know... I'm not a shouter unless the famous Roussette red mist rises which is very very rare thankfully Grin

Whoever thinks Linda Nolan has talent is deluded and I did laugh at her selling millions of records comment! It was effing 40 years ago !
At best she was a backing singer and probably couldn't hold a note now! I absolutely loathed what I saw of her in the CBB house, I think she's a nasty piece of work. She should not have been there.

CN's twitter feed pinned tweet has her back on the show on Monday. Is this honestly wise? I think ITV is deluded if they think she can waltz in on Monday lunchtime, she can blab a paltry excuse and the show can get back to OTT laughter and dross. I'm not here anyway and won't be watching.

Snugglepiggy · 01/09/2018 08:36

Bear pit and ambush exactly. That is what I saw ,and I confess to never having watched LW or CBB before.I did used to watch Kim and Aggie's programme, and had heard if her dreadful childhood.I saw a strong, defensive woman who admitted she came on for the money ,who I believe is essentially honest but is obviously nursing deep emotional pain .I've no doubt she can be abrasive and she wouldn't necessarily be easy company when riled. But riled she was by feeling outnumbered,CNs passive aggressive body language -as Kim referred to it as 'demure ' - ,plus her sister alongside who apparently isn't a regular so why ?ITV and the producers should feel ashamed. It showed women at their worst, and brought back uncomfortable memories of a certain group of girls at school who ganged up on their victims in an insidious but quietly co -ordinated way.Disturbing TV and sadly a sign of a general nastiness and bullying culture becoming more prevalent generally.

KarlDilkington · 01/09/2018 09:31

To be fair the only it's I found bad were the sister saying what is your talent, and both the sisters saying "we know" etc when KW started talking about her childhood. I don't think JSP or Linda did anything wrong, and I don't think Kim was that set upon really?

longwayoff · 01/09/2018 09:35

Really Karl? You have very low standards of acceptable behaviour.

Plutonium · 01/09/2018 09:42

I thought Linda was very patronising when she rubbed KW’s arm and Said, ‘does that feel better now?’ (Or something along those lines) although she was acting all wide eyed, ‘what I have done?’, when KW shoved her hand off.

sweethope · 01/09/2018 09:52

Linda was as two faced and bullying as the rest of the pack. Hateful woman.

Karl What about CN who verbally attacked KW first? she leaned over JSP, pointed her finger at KW and said, I'm paraphrasing, "What I should have done is tell you that you're a vile , self centred ,publicity seeking witch!" She was one of the hosts fgs!

Watch at 3:37 mins

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 01/09/2018 10:46

But that's not how it started.
Kim says (in quite an aggressive way, actually) "You wanted me here. What do you want to say?"
The audience seemed quite taken aback at that opening gambit and it all went south from then on.

Susiesoap7 · 01/09/2018 10:49

Colleen Nolan has always been a prize bitch, I'm amazed she still gets work on tv. But she is one of those who can turn tears on at any opportunity

Everyoneiswingingit · 01/09/2018 10:50

The audience are told when to boo, cheer and clap. Also when things are happening very quickly and the set up seems to be humorous to start with(JSP dressed up etc) I think the audience were probably caught up in it. KW is coming on to a hostile panel of 4, one of which she has previous with and her sister included. She wanted to know why they asked her on. She said in an interview later that she was told by producers that CN would speak first as she wanted to reconcile.

Viviennemary · 01/09/2018 10:51

It was the ganging up of four people against one. Which is bullying. I'd expect nothing different from those two Nolan sisters but was disappointed with the behaviour of JSP and Linda Robson. Dressing up in that gown was confrontational to begin with. And Linda Robson comes over as quite a nice person but after this I could never look at her the same way again. It was all quite horrible.

Everyoneiswingingit · 01/09/2018 10:56

The whole idea was misguided and a disaster. BUT, if they had acted with dignity after and apologised and acknowledged that it was wrong, it would be over by now.

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 01/09/2018 10:59

Forget the audience. Agree that they're probably a bunch of performing monkeys. I, as a viewer (on YouTube since the furore, not the actual programme, God forbid!), was a bit Shock when I heard Kim's tone at the start of it all. How could it possibly go anywhere good after that? She was angry, and regardless of justification for that, it's not a good place to start with a supposed reconciliation/clearing of the air. The producers will of course have known that, which is why they're beyond contempt.

sweethope · 01/09/2018 11:03

I suppose it just goes to show, anyone can put themselves over in a nice way to get everyone liking them. How hard can it be for those "loose women" to come over all nice for an hour or so a week. But Kim Woodburn gave us all an insight into what they're really like, nasty bullying bitches who enjoyed the spectacle of a 75 year old damaged woman falling apart before their eyes. So bloody nasty.
