The numbers are as follows!

“TV ratings have now revealed that viewing figures rose to 900,000 at Kim’s arrival, before dropping to 710,000 as the argument ensued.” (Sun newspaper exclusive yesterday, now cited in a few places)

Ofcom complaints over 7000 (see above link)

Petition signatories over 7000 www.change.org/p/itv-studios-global-entertainment-remove-coleen-nolan-from-the-loose-women-panel?recruiter=379642088&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition

Everyoneiswingingit - was just thinking the exact same thing!

Helena No, but I imagine he is just as he seems. His parents are just as lovely as you'd expect from watching Great Canal Journeys (I think it's called)

I thought so Shatner Smile

Coleen Nolan has put up a clip of her B.B. days 🙄
Reminding everyone she had support once I suppose.

Why isn’t she addressing g the problem?

No one behaved well in this, however I am surprised at the support for KW. I watched and found her manipulative and very false. The soft whispery voice (until she lost it), her tears, the disclosure repeatedly about her troubled life, complete with dramatic pauses for audience sympathy and when none was forthcoming more pauses and a repeat of the information.
Isn't she just trying to create an 'image'. She admitted to being on these shows for the money. Doesn't this just give her more work and support her to be yet another celebrity?

LARLARLAND · 31/08/2018 18:43

They all go on these shows for the money!

Roussette · 31/08/2018 18:48

I don't think KW will be on any more shows for the foreseeable future, she's obviously suffering with issues, who would risk it. That's not a criticism because I still have absolute disdain for the LW crew - panellists and producers alike.

longwayoff · 31/08/2018 18:50

Pippa. May you never be 77 years old, in need of cash, and set upon by a bunch of entitled talentless harpies who have decided to publicly take you down on tv to entertain an audience of 900,000 people. If you find yourself in that position I suggest you wont like it. Neither will many of the audience who will be revolted. As we were.

PippaPenny · 31/08/2018 19:05

Long, I did say ' no one behaved well' - but watching closely my perception is that KW played her part (and us) too.

PippaPenny · 31/08/2018 19:11

And is KW that much in need of cash to put herself through that?

The whole focus on celebrity status, being famous, making money creates situations like this. All producers of this show are as much to blame as all of the celebrities on the show....as are we for showing an interest and helping to promote these celebrities

Is KW penniless? Homeless? She is choosing to do these shows. (As are the other celebrities who are in the firing line for their horrid part in this)

sweethope · 31/08/2018 19:16

Pippa Kim had a very abusive childhood, i read her book, it was absolutely horrendous. That she's managed to function as well as she has is worthy of admiration. She has issues, who wouldn't after what she's gone through. But at least she isnt a bully, she goes on the defence when she's up against them. Good for her for saying it how it is. She was up against 4 of them and the audience too. Coleen called her a "vile woman" and mocked her while she spoke of her abuse. That's shameful. It was Nolan that was vile, not her.

Rockbird · 31/08/2018 19:22

She went straight for Linda Robson as soon as she came out and Linda did not deny what she was claimed to have said about Colleen. You're attributing more side to LR than she actually has.

saynotonolan · 31/08/2018 19:24

Coleen mocked Kim when she was talking about her abusive childhood. That is the point.

longwayoff · 31/08/2018 19:27

Justify it as much as you like. It was dreadful.

sweethope · 31/08/2018 19:27

Linda Robson enjoyed joining in with the bullies, with her passive aggressive remarks. She wasn't as bad as the Nolans but she was still part of the pack for sure. Then tried to redeem herself patting Kims arm.

MarthasGinYard · 31/08/2018 19:28

'Coleen mocked Kim when she was talking about her abusive childhood. That is the point.'

Quite

And it was disturbing to witness

MaluCachu · 31/08/2018 19:40

That was the bit i found galling.Bullies goading.

The lowest point has to be "she'll cry now" - cue both dim-sisters clearly getting off on it

saynotonolan · 31/08/2018 19:47

I doubt Collens big secret she is to reveal on Monday is that her dad sexually abused her...

Her”We’ve heard it all before” when Kim began to speak about it was unforgivable.

I hadn’t heard it before and she negated a child being abused.

PrickWhittington · 31/08/2018 19:48

I watched and found her manipulative and very false

Thing is PippaPenn - I saw that too, yes, but I also saw the scared, vulnerable 76 year old lady behind that veneer, and had some sort of understanding of WHY she behaves and uses the coping mechanisms she does given her past, and felt immense compassion for her, followed by real anger that she had been put in that situation and set up, belittled and ganged up against in the way she was.

I saw a lady who was hurting and desperately needed validation of the bulling she DID receive in the BB house, not to be provoked, mocked and reduced to tears on live TV.

I think too that many others saw what I did too, hence the response it has got. Really, I'd call that progress, especially in the context of mental health awareness and a move away from the stigma that has surrounded it for far too long.

And just in case KW is reading any comments - Kim, you are bloody great, some of us get you, we can see what people are doing and have done to you. We have seen the bullying, and it disgusts us, and we too will keep shouting until we are heard. Bullying, in any form, needs to be recognised for what it is and wiped out. It has no place in a civilised society and needs to stop. As does people denying, minimising and condoning it.

saynotonolan · 31/08/2018 20:00

The argument sticking up for the Nolans seems to be Kim is pretending to be bullied.

The argument sticking up for Kim is that she was ganged up on when talking about physical and sexual abuse.

We saw the bullying!

GreenTulips · 31/08/2018 20:04

But she is uses that argument as an excuse to be vile to others.

She wants pity.

She needs serious help if she's to have a happy retirement.
