The problem as far as I'm concerned was the fact that LW producers set it up to back fire. I think this because...

JSP dressed up like a judge. Horrible.
Exorcist music as KW came on, how mean is that?
KW insists now that she was asked on the premise that CN would do the talking initially. That didn't happen, CN refused to speak
4 against 1. At one point they are all grinning as KW is crying which is appalling

I have to say I think KW is a very very difficult woman and I know I would have a problem with her in RL if I knew her, but no-one, even her, deserves to be ambushed like that.

I didn’t complain to Ofcom because I’m a KW fan I complained because it was absolutely disgraceful behaviour by 3 woman against one vulnerable woman. It couldn’t have been stopped at any time but they chose not to. Behaviour like that should never be shown on the tv.

Putting aside the programme for a minute, some of the comments on this thread are appalling. Women referring to other women as cows, bitches, fat, big old lumps, harpies, fishwives etc. Oh the irony! Mysogeny is alive and well right here and mumsnet, I thought you didn't allow nasty personal insults, so why are they all still standing?

@Truckingonandon I think some of the name calling on this thread is no more or no less than is trotted out with frequency on Loose Women, which is often surprisingly anti-supporting towards other women, sexist towards men, and in one presenter's case, homophobic.

Oh, and while we're at it, Coleen also did that stand up to cancer female Full Monty and took a £10k pay cheque and Linda committed benefit fraud, so bit rich anyone having a go about KW going on the show for money (why shouldn't she get paid for an appearance like anyone else?).

@Paul CN. On one show she said she didn't think gay couples should be allowed to adopt and added "there's only so much I' want to accept" and on another compared gay rights with supporting ISIS.

And of course she's also the mother who said on the show that if her 16-year-old son passed his exams then she would pay for him to go on a sex trip to Amsterdam and that she had given her fiancé Ray Fensome permission to have a one-night stand during the proposed trip. Her ex - whom she always talks about - Shane Richie was "disgusted and appalled".

There's a .org petition started to remove CN from LW.

I can’t stand the LW panelists. JSP must be being paid a significant sum to lower herself to this. They are all bullies in my opinion and none of them strike me as very bright and yet spout on and on as if they know it all. They often have mental health as a focus but it’s all for show.
It’s great publicity for the show though so they’ll be loving it. I bet viewing figures are much higher today and all those YouTube views will help with advertising revenue.

@Truckingonandon you’re missing the point. That is exactly the whole point of the show. The whole set up is to make the women it shows bitches/harpies/fishwives whatever and the complete morons they pay jump to that level. The clue is in the name of the show ‘Loose Women’. Not exactly an empowering phrase is it? It was always only a matter of time before it turned into something like this.

I only managed to watch two minutes. Couldn't bear it because it took me back to the school yard. KW is hostile but appears set up, the No-one sisters have touched a nerve with too many people who've watched bullies be enabled/get off scot free. Coleens smug fat face would provoke a saint.

I heard Kim Woodburn has had a bad childhood herself, she said in one documentary, that she was abandoned as a baby. So I guess might have issues related to that. By the sounds of it, she needs professional help.

It was originally a UK version of The View and was meant to be significantly more highbrow than its current incarnation. It jumped the shark years ago.

I never understood that about loose women - why would they have a panel LESS bright/articulate/thoughtful than the average woman?

What could have been an interesting format - women talk current issues- was just wasted.

At one point in the interview... they're all asking KW questions (do you think you have anger problems? Do you regret anything? etc) but not letting her answer.

You cannot conduct an interview where 3 interviewers pile in with questions one after the other. It was so unprofessional.

I don't get the problem with going on for the money. I'm sure they all do I it for money. They are hardly there out if the goodness of their hearts are they!

I'm not a KW fan by any stretch, but that was a set up and CN and her sister need to remember there are cameras that pick up rolling eyes and facial expressions and microphones that pick up your under your breath comments.

I think CN forgot her mic was on... she is heard to say to JSP 'this is the bit where she cries'.

I really don't like Kim Woodburn, but think she was treated appallingly yesterday. It was horrible, unnecessary and all the panellists, producers and anyone involved in that circus is responsible for bullying (which is a word I think is overused) KW. Linda was vile and they were recruiting people to jeer and laugh at KW - what is that if not bullying? Coleen Nolan loved every minute of it and showed herself for what she really is. Awful, awful TV.

Kim shows she is constantly fighting her childhood demons. She is strongly against untruths and finds it hard to trust anyone. I feel like she was ganged up on on LW and with regard to B.B. they look for 'fodder' like poor Kim to make 'good' viewing.

I just want to give her a hug. 🙁

I don’t know the history between these guys but I was surprised that the audience seemed to back the Nolan’s while they were being so nasty.

I’m afraid Linda robson came across as someone not sure which horse to back and she chose wrong.
