....with dishes still in it she didn't even move them just poured the wee over them!

does anyone else think this is a bit Eeeewwwwwwww? i think she noticed my expression and said 'oh sorry don't you do that' to which i said 'no normally just put down the loo actually'.

Its not a friendship ruiner by any means i was just a bit surprised that people do this (but i am a clean freak admittidly). Am i off the mark here is this normal?

Hmm

Slatternly at the very least

Your friend needs an Anthea Turner DVD

Chugnuts · 31/05/2007 16:50

I would've picked a cup out of the sink and offered to make her some tea in it.

Ewwwww!

LoveMyGirls · 31/05/2007 16:50

OMG {boak} I would be freaking but I am a clean freak............

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 31/05/2007 16:50

nooooooooooo.. that's vile and gross and disgusting!!!! I had a friend who did this and it was years before I had a drink or anything in her house for this very reason [puke smiley]

burek · 31/05/2007 16:51

I am not a clean freak but even I am freaking out about that!

That is soooooooooo groooossssssssssssssssss.

Mumpbump · 31/05/2007 16:52

Think it's pretty poor if there were dishes in the sink... Probably wouldn't phase me too much if the sink was empty as you can just rinse with disinfectant...

allgonebellyup · 31/05/2007 16:52

Vile. i will only flush potties down toilet.

Never a sink.

Bleugggggghhhh

morocco · 31/05/2007 16:53

puke puke yuck

sparklesandwine · 31/05/2007 16:53

god i'm glad its not just me it was the way she said 'oh don't you do that' which worried me - she's invited us for tea next week too....

DumbledoresGirl · 31/05/2007 16:54

No, the presence of the dishes only makes it unspeakably bad. Even if the sink was clear, it surely cannot be reasonable to pour potty contents down it? You don't wee in the sink do you?

americantrish · 31/05/2007 16:54

not unreasonable, ewww

cornsilk · 31/05/2007 16:54

Perhaps you should offer to bring some food with you!

Well, take your own dishes certainly!

sparklesandwine · 31/05/2007 16:55

yeah i have done that Mumpbump as i said its no friendship breaker i would have preffered her to at least move the cups and plates out of the way first though

I can see why she would think it would be alright as...

"Normal urine is sterile. It contains fluids, salts, and waste products, but it is free of bacteria, viruses, and fungi."

I have held my DD over our empty clean kitchen sink to wee a couple of times, when she was tiny (10 weeks old, before we bought a potty for her) but I cleaned the sink well before reusing it.

That said I would certainly not empty my DD's potty into a kitchen sink and not a full sink which belongs to a friend.

PinkTulips · 31/05/2007 16:57

do it at home but would never at someone elses.

i tend to try and avoid the dishes too

sparklesandwine · 31/05/2007 16:57

its not the food i'm worried about cornsilk it what she puts them on

Hate to think what would of happened if her DD had done a poo.....

TheBlonde · 31/05/2007 16:58
