....with dishes still in it she didn't even move them just poured the wee over them!

does anyone else think this is a bit Eeeewwwwwwww? i think she noticed my expression and said 'oh sorry don't you do that' to which i said 'no normally just put down the loo actually'.

Its not a friendship ruiner by any means i was just a bit surprised that people do this (but i am a clean freak admittidly). Am i off the mark here is this normal?

my mil does this (but in her own house, not in mine). I think she thought I couldn't see her

Stigaloid · 31/05/2007 17:00

I am not a clean freak and even i find that disgusting! YANBU!

sparklesandwine · 31/05/2007 17:01

god no, it's wee, put it down the bog! OVER the dishes? I would have involuntarily freaked out - and I AM a slattern!!!

currantbunmum · 31/05/2007 17:04

That is totally disgusting

A friend of mine once threw her sons poo filled nappy on our log fire, as she said it was more sanitary than putting it in the dustbin, she also let him wander round without a nappy weeing at leisure on the floor as "babies wee dosen't smell"

No that is absolutely gross. This coming from the person who used to make people empty poo out of the nappies before putting them in my bin. I don't think it matters whether you are a clean freak or not, wee goes in the toilet not in the sink.

ViciousSquirrelSpotter · 31/05/2007 17:06

I suppose you should just feel grateful it was just wee...

cornsilk · 31/05/2007 17:07

A friend of mine used to put her son's pooey nappy in my kitchen bin. I thought that was gross!

sparklesandwine · 31/05/2007 17:07

pmsl at that currentbunmum i think i got off lightly

I'm definitely not a clean freak, our house is a tip, but that's just disgusting!

Would she do a wee in the sink herself?

Eurgh!

Cascara · 31/05/2007 17:12

It's only wee! It does wash off you know! Are people allowed to put their bacteria ridden lips on cups which they will almost inevitably taint with backwash in all your houses?!

niceglasses · 31/05/2007 17:13

Regularly do it at mine but probably not at a friends, but only out of politeness. Not cos its minging, cos don't think it is!

Noellefielding · 31/05/2007 17:16

I always used to put ds's dirty nappies in a nappy bag in the outside bin at friends's houses. They don't want to sit in their kitchen breathing in the sweet smell of your child's shite do they???!!!

TootyFrooty · 31/05/2007 17:17

How about having a wee in her sink yourself when you go round next week. And then say "oh, sorry - don't you do that?"

Noellefielding · 31/05/2007 17:19

my bf used to wee in his sink in his room at university - I think they all did lazy buggers.

purpleduck · 31/05/2007 17:26

Haa Haa, that is so funny! I guess now its safe to fart in front of her!!!!

CaptainUnderpants · 31/05/2007 17:28

I will admit to putting wee from potty down kitchen sink as we didn't have toilet downstairs . No excuse some may think but hey ho .

I however draw the line at pouring it down the sink with dishes in and would NOT do it at a friends house regardless of dishes in it or not .

happystory · 31/05/2007 17:31

Slightly different, but I had a friend here once and when I was out of the room she used the washing up cloth to clean her shoes...and then put it back on the draining board....

PetronellaPinkPants · 31/05/2007 17:32

yuck

I was once in a restaurant and a woman came in with a little girl who weed in her potty, she then emptied it down the handbasin despite there being three vacant loos and she didn't even rinse the handbasin

tissy · 31/05/2007 17:37

currantbunmum- I wouldn't be bothered about the poo on the log fire- definitely more hygienic than putting it in the bin (but not very attractive to look at while it catches fire!), but I would be upset if it was a disposable nappy full of those nasty absorbent granules- don't want to inhale the combustion products of those!
