Following on from the hilarious is my hedgehog fucked thread, I thought I'd pick up my tools and make another cake. Specifically for BIL's big 30th birthday party.

Be honest, is there any saving this? Or am I destined to a life where people point at me in the street and laugh?

It's a sponge covered in black and I'm putting the Star Wars Logo on it and some stars.

That failing I might just cover it with a baseball cap. Call it stormtrooper bad hair day

If the request was for a very small stormtrooper who looks like he's straining to take a shit, then you've fulfilled the brief perfectly.

If you do an image search for 'stormtrooper cake' there are a lot of flat topped ones.

It's really very inconsiderate of film makers and fiction writers not to have come up with some villains and heroes who can easily be represented with a couple of sponge cakes and icing.

Get some Lego stormtroopers, maybe Yoda and Chewbacca too to put on top of it, like they are having a party on a stormtrooper 'stage'. Just to cement in that yes, this is a star wars cake

I think it's ok OP, I'm a big Star Wars fan and it's stormtroopery enough for me!

I did the same sort of cake for dh last year. So hard! Mine looked a bit pained/puzzled i put a small cake on top like you’re planning and covered that with stars then put ds’s Star Wars lego figures on with the candles.

Are you aiming for something like this? Everyone will know what it is when it's finished although I think you need make the eyes a little less triangular if that helps?

@StorminaBcup yes! That's the exact one I was trying to make although I viewed the pictures next to one another and now I can't stop laughing.

I was going to freeze the cake and defrost in a few weeks but I think I'll start again....
