Following on from the hilarious is my hedgehog fucked thread, I thought I'd pick up my tools and make another cake. Specifically for BIL's big 30th birthday party.

Be honest, is there any saving this? Or am I destined to a life where people point at me in the street and laugh?

Ta da! Looked more like a big mouse to start but think I got there in the end. Doesn't look exactly like the tv character but looks cute and sure the 3 year old won't judge me too harshly (it is cake after all!). Tired now. Been working on it since around 5 and haven't had any supper yet.

My daughter saw the cake in progress yesterday and on seeing the bear cake today she asked where the mouse cake was. Typical hey, think she was disappointed there wasn't a second cake! She did then come over to me later and say thank you for the cake and gave me the best cuddle so I think it's a win. Now just need to tidy the house from top to toe and decorate, do a full day of work and have grannies over for supper. Think it's going to be a late night.

So..... it's all done. And it looks splendid. Mr stormtrooper still looks a bit constipated but after a stressful week at work I've resigned to the fact that it's not the end of the world.

I need to wait till Saturday for the party to assemble it. Can you all wait till then? Both cakes are currently wrapped within an inch of their lives in cling film

Off cuts of the cake taste nice but will have to wait till the party tomorrow to try a proper slice. Better taste nice as with the size of it we'll be eating it for a while!
