Disappointing day out AIBU

I went to see Jeremy Kyle being filmed. I had to turn up early with no guarantee of a seat but as I was one of the first in the queue I luckily got in as was queuing from the night before. Wish I hadn’t now or gone on another day because it was a show about inspirational children and a reunion of a father and son. Erm.. I wanted fights and arguments and a laugh! Is there anything I can do? Has anyone else had the same thing happen? If I email and explain my disappointment do you think they will send me guaranteed tickets to a more dysfunctional shoe? Just my luck really! 🙄

Why on earth would you want to watch people fighting or watch jeremy Kyle in the first place, I presume this is a joke thread?

I would know what you mean, I would be disappointed if I got seats and ended up watching a show like the one you describe being filmed.

I guess you could email and ask them but you will probably be told that they can't guarantee what they will be filming on the days you have tickets for.

Op I understand, my friend loves this show. If you go expecting the typical theatre and find out it's a different show entirely (these positive shows are unusual) I can see why you would be disappointed.

I have no idea if you can apply for tickets again. They are free aren't they?

The tickets were free which is why I don’t think there’s much I can do other than be told try my luck again but wondered if similar had happened to others

I'm pretty sure they have to hunt for people to give tickets to -students and the like.

If this was true surely you would post about it when the recording took place, not when the episode aired... the shows aren't live

There was no queuing, it was a ticketed, timed event.

I also went to watch TOTP once, again... no crazy queuing.

No need to queue. Just find the roughest pub in your town and sit outside in the car park at closing time. Or hang around an A&E waiting room on a Saturday night.
