She works part time in a minimum wage job and he’s unemployed ... yet they are probably on their 10th holiday of the year.

He’s a well known dealer in this area.

I knew people who had police protection. Both are now dead. The police do not care.

If people think the police are thereto help and protect then you’re crazy.

OP I do understand, I lived in a council estate where everyone knew who the drug dealers were but the police didn’t give a fuck. But, most people here on mn are middle class and have no experience of that sort of life, so that’s why they don’t understand

Maybe the OP thought - wrongly, as it turns out - that people would have more of a realistic view of drug infrastructure and personnel, the police and how vulnerable people are. I have to confess that I am myself rather surprised at how many on this thread appear to live on Acacia Avenue where a quick word with the local bobby will put to rest any niggles about undesirables and then everyone sleeps soundly and safely.

Think you need a hobby. Focus on your own life. None of your business.

I am unsure what Op expected. What else shouldpeople say? Was the Op expecting everyone to ignore the dealer and flame the dealers girlfriend for the holidays? I don’t believe MNs supposed middle class demographic has anything to do with it.
