To think that no one likes their middle name?

My DDs like each other’s middle names, but not their own. DH and I don’t like ours. Extrapolating to the rest of the world, no one likes their middle names, but I am not sure why.

I don't have one but have always wanted one .

Mine is my great-aunt's name - it's lovely and a bit old-fashioned and she was a brilliant woman.

I don`t have one and am pedantic about how my only name is said and spelt!

I don’t like mine as it’s the same as almost every other woman’s born in the 80s.

I love mine, DD loves hers

I don't like mine because I went to school with a girl who had it as a first name and she wasn't nice.

I love mine (Emma) and it's on the list if (impending) dc2 is a girl my sister nicked it (with permission) for her daughter's middle name too!

Mine is meh (Sarah), gone off daughter’s (Rosie), like son’s (Myles) more than his first name!

I don't have one either

I've got two cos I'm greedy, but both mean a lot to me so I'm happy with them.

seems rare these days to.not have one.. I don't have one.. which I'm glad about as elder brothers middle name is Dwayne...

I don't have one, but SO MUCH did I want one as a child, I made one up! I was so convincing that even now, when I meet people from school, they still actually believe that I am Northern Maria Knickers 😳 I have never 'fessed up 😂

I do. It's what I go by.

Mine’s just a bit boring (typical 70s / 80s middle name). Not sure why people bother, really - hardly anyone uses them in real life!

I prefer mine to my first name. My first name is quite a generic 80s girl name but my middle name is much prettier and I’ve heard a few babies born recently with this name

I love my middle name! So much so that we used it as DC1's middle name, too!

I like mine. It's a family name on both sides. My DCs both like theirs.

Didnt give my children middle names, dont see the point of them.

I love mine and I've passed it down to my son :)
