I am watching the Invitation to a Royal Wedding . Why do I not have a police escort for my weekly flowers? I want a castle and factories to make my favourite cake

There are bits I'd like but far more that would challenge me.

I enjoy having privacy with my family. Choosing things to do on a whim. Not having to be polite to lots of people I'd rather speak my mind too. Not having to keep all my political opinions to myself.

Cake and flowers would be nice though.

I would love to be the Queen. She has the best job. Don't believe all that guff about how hard her life is. The media respect her and don't give her that much grief.

@Queenoftheblitz, the big turning point for me in thinking it would be desirable is the thought of having to hold a dinner for the likes of Donald Trump and sit making small talk.

Can you imagine continually having to dress up, go out and shake hands, make speeches and look fascinated with some new factory day after day after day? To say nothing of not being able to nip out to Tescos and browse their ice cream stock when you fancy being sinful?

I'm not sure I could be bothered to be The Queen, but I'd love to be a bit further down the line. I bet whoever married Prince Edwards kids will have a very nice life indeed. I have a very handsome couple of DS's I might try and send the way of some minor Royals.

I'd love to be Queen so I could abolish the monarchy and turn Buck House, Windsor Castle and all the other palaces into Women/Children Refuges.
