So after the negative deleted thread just watched some Liverpool ladies on the TV at Aintree who looked bloody lovely.

Hair nails tan dresses and of course hats all gorgeous. Good on them and very glam.

Of course the fail will be there to take the piss as they hate all women especially ordinary women but stuff them.

You look great ladies have fun

They do. I love the outfits and the confidence.
I am a cold person. I wear a thermal vest and thick tights from September to May most years and I look at those ladies in freezing foggy Liverpool and I cannot believe they can stand around for a whole day and not go blue at the lips. That's all.

Mydoghatesthebath · 13/04/2018 19:31

I know but it just shows how wonderful women can be. Smile

I missed the negativity on the apparently deleted thread. Some of us were at work.

specialsubject · 13/04/2018 20:20

So emperors New clothes is now banned on mn?

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2018 20:20

There's always a few deleted threads around this time. People can't help themselves it seems.

I just wonder how much actual watching of horse racing goes on. Grin

noeffingidea · 13/04/2018 20:22

Love the red maxi on the pic Rosewhitetips just posted.

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2018 20:24

A Daily Mail link regarding Ladies Day? I don't think I will be opening that.

SaltireSaltire · 13/04/2018 20:24

Just been looking at google images of women at Aintree.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 13/04/2018 20:24

Yeah the lady in the middle of that particular pic looks lovely... Confused

RoseWhiteTips · 13/04/2018 20:28

The Daily Mail is only taking - or accepting - photographs of actual women there today. If people dressed with decorum and style, there would be no need for such material.

Do some of you really think they faked those pics?

dancingqueen345 · 13/04/2018 20:29

These women have had more fun in one afternoon than most of the judgey people will have all year.

I love how happy everyone looks, wish I'd gone!

noeffingidea · 13/04/2018 21:20

Rosewhite no one gives a fuck apart from you. But you knock yourself out bitching about them if it makes you feel better.

Isadora666 · 13/04/2018 21:23

It's southern middle class mockery of the northern working classes, with a sprinkling of misogyny.

KC225 · 13/04/2018 21:24

I bloody love the Aintree photos, Daily Mail never fails the Aintree ladies. There's always loads of them.

NotACleverName · 13/04/2018 21:26

The original thread was a "hey let's point and laugh at the badly dressed, badly made up chavs*" mess of mid-key misogyny.

LET. WOMEN. WEAR. WHAT. THEY. WANT. FOR. FUCK'S. SAKE.

(*not my opinion)

Armi · 13/04/2018 21:33

Women can wear what they want.....but some of them looking fucking terrible and I hate that revoltingly patronising , ‘Awwww... but they’re having a nice time, bless them!’ attitude on here. Some of them look a bloody mess and whereas some may make the case that a woman has the absolute right to show her pants in public, there is also a case to be made that some of us think it’s inappropriate (not to mention tacky) to pull your skirt over your head in public.

JacquesHammer · 13/04/2018 21:35

@RoseWhiteTips didn’t you start the deleted thread....?

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 13/04/2018 21:41

RoseWhite was the one who started the other deleted thread.

She thinks in terms of "ladies" and nasty common bitches with no style or "class"....despite the fact that bitching about other peoples choice of clothes/appearance is literall the definition of someone with no class.

I think it doesn't matter a tiny fucking shite what anyone chooses to wear.
It doesn't hurt anyone.
Everyne has different tastes....I personally think a twin set and pearls is the height of horrible.

Judging women, or men, for their appearance says way more about the person doing the judging.

Especially when that judgement is..
a) based on Daily Heil pictures, who are notorious for picking the pics they know will get their readers frothing
b) targeting northern working class women
c) based on a hugely outdated opinion of class and sexist women sterotypes about "ladies"

KC225 · 13/04/2018 21:43

Daily Mail has 184 of wonderful Aintree ladies. I have checked each one out. Fab. It looks like such a good time. The most used words in captions are 'glamour, glamorous, fashionable and the like'. If anything the captions are a little 80s page 3 girl. Not negative, snide or mocking. The caption for the photo posted above read 'what a cheek!'

JacquesHammer · 13/04/2018 21:43

Thought so Lana

Which rather makes a mockery of the assertion “I missed the negativity on the apparently deleted thread. Some of us were at work” given that the negativity was in the very first post.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 13/04/2018 21:51

Ah yes Jaques......the faux naivety is just pathetic.

They started that nasty thread...the very op itself was nasty and judgy.

I wouldn't be seen dead in a fancy frock, high heels and fake tan.

But I certainly don't judge anyone who wears that stuff.

Cos I have this amazing ability to, ya know, not base my opinion of people on what clothes they wear, or how they do their hair.

Some of my best friends wear stuff I wouldn't wear if you gave.me a million pounds.

And in turn there is no way they would look like me.

But luckily none of us are shallow enough to let that get in the way of a brilliant friendship.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2018 21:53

I can’t wear heels so im in awe of women that can!

AmysTiara · 13/04/2018 21:56

Yeah sure you were at work Rose. Hmm

If work means starting shitty threads slagging off everyone who isn't you then yep you were at work.

Mydoghatesthebath · 13/04/2018 21:56

Get off my thread rose unless you have decided to be nicer.
