Ok - well wrong in a lot of places!
AIbU to be upset that M & S have stopped selling the most fabulous work shoe ever! This is not going to be an exciting thread.

It was a black court shoe with a 3 inch stiletto heel with a slightly rounded toe but not fully rounded. They were smart looking and they went with everything. And most importantly they were ridiculously comfortable. I could stand for long periods of time and no sore feet. I could walk around all day in them without once thinking about my feet. I didn't have to worry about having an important conversation with someone and getting distracted cos of sore feet. And they were only £25!!!!!

I am career changing in the next few years and I have networking events to go to, career fairs etc and I need something comfy and smart that will go with everything so I went in to m and s today to buy a few more pairs of them. THEY DONT HAVE THEM ANYMORE!! I have looked on line. Nothing.

I have sent them a fB message to impress upon them the importance of these shoes.

I also have one foot slightly bigger than the other and find it difficult to find decent shoes.

aIBu to be completely distraught? Which is of course a total over reaction but all I can think about right now is how I will never ever find another pair of shoes like them.

Disclaimer : I never gave m&s shoes so much as a sideways glance until I bought these. I am at a loss.

They miss the mark so much with their clothes and shoes and here they have hit it on the head and still they don't realise!

I once had an awesome M&S pair of shoes - they were a kind of cross between a wedge and a court shoe, but they'd done the wedge in a kind of narrow, tapered way, so they looked super elegant (I'm not really a fan of wedges). They were about an inch and a half high (I only have size 3 feet, so this is plenty!) - and were so stable and comfortable.

Never seen them since, I carefully ration out wearing these ones so I don't wear them out too quickly!

M&S sometimes hit it on the nose, they really do.

Peachesandcream15 · 08/04/2018 19:25

Were they patent by any chance?

nawnee2 · 08/04/2018 19:26

They were not patent but I did see the patent ones today and might need to get those as a back up

You are not being unreasonable. I have been planning to buy a few new pairs of these. I know exactly the shoes you mean. Gutted.

The moral of this story is- if you find something wonderful you can't manage without, then buy the same item several times (or ask others to buy them for you as presents) as it may be dicontinued.

tishhope · 08/04/2018 19:51

Different thing but the same: I always loved their 100% cotton knickers but the last few times I've bought cotton knickers from marks, the cotton has been sort of coated with a sort of plastic finish. Has anyone else noticed this? I've had to go to sainsbury's tu to get cotton knickers that don't feel sort of slimy.

MrsTylerJoseph · 08/04/2018 19:54

Have you picked the microfibre knickers up by accident? They’re kind of shiny/slippy but I love them.

Herja · 08/04/2018 19:57

I know those shoes! Pretty much everyone I worked with on beauty counters wore them (high heels required for a 9 hour shift need to be comfy, these were the only ones that were). The fuckers. They're honestly the only ones I've ever found I could do a full shift in and liked the look off.

FizzyGreenWater · 08/04/2018 19:59

Wow someone tweet a link to this thread to M&S! The day may yet be saved.

Purpleprickles · 08/04/2018 20:00

I have the patent ones. I'm terrible in heels but you are right they are so comfy. I always do this with jeans, find a good pair and leave it too late to get another one.

YANBU. I am devastated to the point of obsession that Sainsbury's and Tesco have stopped selling pink grapefruit Hi Juice squash. Why? I don't understand it. Robinson's barley grapefruit squash in skank.

This is a recent problem, and my friend Google suggested it could be due to a Florida grapefruit shortage.

I hope so.

I cannot live without this product, I will pay whatever for it.

tinytemper66 · 08/04/2018 20:02

I have fancied a few shoes from M&S but some of them are only in wide fit and it is so frustrating!

Twodogsandahooch · 08/04/2018 20:04

Do look on eBay. I had a wonderful black jacket/cardigan thing from Warehouse that I bought a few years ago. Left it in a bar. Last year decided to look on eBay and lo and behold one was for sale. In my size. Very happy lady.

nawnee2 · 08/04/2018 20:06

I have had a look on Ebay. Nothing unfortunately. They have said they will pass my comments to their womenswear department. I don't have twitter but if someone wants to tweet them the threat I have no issue with that!

I Googled them to see what they were like and think I've found the right ones. Seems they have the in black or nude patent for £19.50 now. Shame as I think they're perfect too. When you're short it's uncomfortable to go higher than 3" heels I find as your heel is elevated more from where your toes are as your feet are shorter. You see so many in 4" plus heels. I don't know how they can wear them. I think if they come back I'd buy them in black on standby.

nawnee2 · 08/04/2018 20:08

I might look at the patent ones and I think there are some suede as well. But in my current job, the dress code is very strict so I am very limited and these ones danced on the edges of acceptability as it was.
