Ok - well wrong in a lot of places!
AIbU to be upset that M & S have stopped selling the most fabulous work shoe ever! This is not going to be an exciting thread.

It was a black court shoe with a 3 inch stiletto heel with a slightly rounded toe but not fully rounded. They were smart looking and they went with everything. And most importantly they were ridiculously comfortable. I could stand for long periods of time and no sore feet. I could walk around all day in them without once thinking about my feet. I didn't have to worry about having an important conversation with someone and getting distracted cos of sore feet. And they were only £25!!!!!

I am career changing in the next few years and I have networking events to go to, career fairs etc and I need something comfy and smart that will go with everything so I went in to m and s today to buy a few more pairs of them. THEY DONT HAVE THEM ANYMORE!! I have looked on line. Nothing.

I have sent them a fB message to impress upon them the importance of these shoes.

I also have one foot slightly bigger than the other and find it difficult to find decent shoes.

aIBu to be completely distraught? Which is of course a total over reaction but all I can think about right now is how I will never ever find another pair of shoes like them.

Disclaimer : I never gave m&s shoes so much as a sideways glance until I bought these. I am at a loss.

They miss the mark so much with their clothes and shoes and here they have hit it on the head and still they don't realise!

The most comfortable court shoes I ever had were M&S. A smaller heel than the ones shown, but so comfy and actually stayed on my feet so i didn't walk out of them. they lasted years before finally dying. I miss them

Finlaggan · 08/04/2018 21:03

M&S need to go back to basics.
Good quality T-shirts & jumpers that aren't a funny cut, pattern or material. Good quality well cut trousers and skirts, the staples of a work wardrobe. It is so difficult to find the simple wardrobe staples, this is what M&S used to be good at. Try finding a really decent quality cotton ladies shirt or Tshirt that isn't see through, flares out at the bottom, or made of synthetic material.

I tried to buy the same v neck jumper mentioned above this winter to no avail.

wakemeupbefore · 08/04/2018 21:25

M&S is a house of horrors of fashion, really, shut your eyes and run to the food hall type of thing...
When are they going to learn?

pinkcardi · 08/04/2018 21:25

nawnee2 what size are you? I have some, entirely unworn, size 6 (I think, will check) If you can cover postage you can have them. I was about to give them to charity.

nawnee2 · 08/04/2018 21:25

While we are here talking about work clothes - I need to buy some suitable suits/clothes I can wear to work type events. I haven't had to do this for about 10 years. Where is good for this sort of purchase? I was thinking JL. I don't mind paying a little bit of money for something really good quality that looks good.

pink I have them in a 6 1/2. I might be able to fit into a 6. I am usually the bigger end of a size 6 but these are quite generous sizing. I will pM you

I.know.your.struggle.

Americantan · 08/04/2018 21:32

Totally agree! I always wore the suede effect version. Mine are ragged as are my Asda cheaper version. Only found a similar pair in new look but their shoes are always very uncomfortable

LivLemler · 08/04/2018 21:33

I love those shoes. I recently wore a pair in nude to a wedding - 36 weeks pregnant and I was comfortable all day, from the church til I hit the hay at midnight. So many other women complaining about their shoes hurting, while whale-like I sailed around.

roses2 · 08/04/2018 21:36

Are these the plain black insolia shoes with a high sexy stilleto heel but super comfy to wear all day?

I have these and they are amazing! I'm gutted they've been discontinued.

nawnee2 · 08/04/2018 21:41

roses not sure they are sexy high. These are only 3inches but I have some of the really high heel ones and they are super comfy aswell. Have worn them all day at weddings.

nawnee2 ok, will head upstairs to check. I might be 6.5....

Can I get PMs on phone app? If not will try to log in the proper way Smile

pinkcardi · 08/04/2018 21:48

So this is what I have, are they what you're after?

I'm usual a 6.5 and these are a 6, so can't be too tight. Let me know if you'd like them Smile

If the 6 is too small OP, I will gladly have pink's pair Blush but you may as well try them as they might fit you!

tracymars · 08/04/2018 22:11

I g=have funny feet. Or a funny way of walking. Or both. In that most smart looking shoes are uncomfortable and rub in various places. When I buy shoes I wear them around the house a bit before I wear them outside. So I can return them if there are problems. When I find comfy shoes I go a bit mad and buy a few pairs so that they last me a few years. I found some slip on trainers at B & M last year that were so comfortable I used them around the house instead of slippers. I bought a couple more pairs and wear a pair to do zumba in.

The plan was to buy some more this year but the B & M I usually go to said they weren't getting them into that store and they are only being stocked in the large stores which I rarely visit :-( I will have to make a special trip.

nawnee2 · 08/04/2018 22:24

gruffalo i will let you know! If they don't fit, happy to send them on! 😂
