Ok - well wrong in a lot of places!
AIbU to be upset that M & S have stopped selling the most fabulous work shoe ever! This is not going to be an exciting thread.

It was a black court shoe with a 3 inch stiletto heel with a slightly rounded toe but not fully rounded. They were smart looking and they went with everything. And most importantly they were ridiculously comfortable. I could stand for long periods of time and no sore feet. I could walk around all day in them without once thinking about my feet. I didn't have to worry about having an important conversation with someone and getting distracted cos of sore feet. And they were only £25!!!!!

I am career changing in the next few years and I have networking events to go to, career fairs etc and I need something comfy and smart that will go with everything so I went in to m and s today to buy a few more pairs of them. THEY DONT HAVE THEM ANYMORE!! I have looked on line. Nothing.

I have sent them a fB message to impress upon them the importance of these shoes.

I also have one foot slightly bigger than the other and find it difficult to find decent shoes.

aIBu to be completely distraught? Which is of course a total over reaction but all I can think about right now is how I will never ever find another pair of shoes like them.

Disclaimer : I never gave m&s shoes so much as a sideways glance until I bought these. I am at a loss.

They miss the mark so much with their clothes and shoes and here they have hit it on the head and still they don't realise!

Have you looked in M&S Outlet stores for end of line stock?

AndromedaPerseus · 13/04/2018 15:46

M&S seem to be on self destruction, they’ve stopped selling the things people love and will repeat buy in order to offer the country a heap of fashion horrors in polyester

ToadOfSadness · 13/04/2018 16:14

I once had the perfect fit M&S sandals, then the straps started to peel apart. I went to buy another pair, they had changed them slightly, they were uncomfortable and had a rough insole that made my feet sore. None of their shoes ever fit me now.

I noticed that the length of the soles on the size 5 and the 5.5 (for example) are exactly the same length, apparently the width is slightly more. Not sure if this is still the case, but it is in some other makes.

As for their knickers, they no longer cover arse cheeks, and ride up, or slip down. Asda do not do this. Tesco cotton knickers are very thin and poor quality. I am working through the brands in the hope of finding something comfortable like the old M&S ones used to be.

peacheachpearplum · 13/04/2018 16:19

I had some just like that from M&S 30 years ago, I had several pairs and one day I got dressed in a hurry and when I got to work I realised I had a navy blue shoe on my left foot and a bottle green shoe on my right foot. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

I think they were about £10 then and I think I had them in blue, green, black and patent. I did like them.

peacheachpearplum · 13/04/2018 16:20

I was in the outlet shop at Clarks Village a month or so ago and I think they might have had them there.

I agree @AndromedaPerseus

I do love MandS as a British brand which used to be amazing.

Now ....even some of their 'ready meals' give me a tummy upset ConfusedHmm

When I asked them for advice they sent me a £10 voucher. I guess to get another tummy upset ? Blush

Queenio24 · 13/04/2018 16:51

I've bought the m & s midi cotton kickers for 10 years, good fit, washed well etc. Bought black & white to take away on hols with me, black were fine, the White were tiny, and the cheapest most see-through cotton uuurrghhh. My dd even told me they were see-through, why do they do this?!?
They went straight into the bin.

BuntyII · 13/04/2018 16:56

Dorothy Perkins is good for work shoes

eloisesparkle · 13/04/2018 16:57

Queenio
I absolutely agree. The quality of M&S cotton knickers is awful. They should be embarrassed selling them.
What a drop in standards.

Silvertap · 13/04/2018 17:27

Noooooo.

I love these shoes and have them in black, patent and nude.

nawnee2 · 13/04/2018 19:41

silver they still have them in patent.

I'll be stocking up on a couple of pairs then. They are so versatile.

Teacherontherun · 14/04/2018 07:50

The 19.50 patent ones are my absolute go to. I am a teacher and have to be on my feet all day. These have the comfort fit and are wide fitting and a half size!! I buy three colours at the start of term, get metal tips put on straight away and they last ages!!

AndromedaPerseus · 14/04/2018 21:53

I noticed their opaque tights I bought this year aren’t as comfortable as the last lot I bought 2 years ago when I measured them the new ones were significantly shorter even though they are meant to be same sizeHmm

leccybill · 14/04/2018 22:15

My mum has had 3 pairs of these in navy for work. I best break it to her gently.

I've got a pair of Clarks suede mink 3" heeled courts with a slightly rounded toe and beautiful Liberty print lining. They are the comfiest things ever and go with everything.
They were £9 (yes £9) in a clearance sale as one had been on display in the window and the colour had lightened ever so slightly, so I just put the other one in the sun for a bit before wearing them Grin.
I'm not at all exaggerating when I say they are my most prized possession.
