I've just been driving behind a seicento with a tiny back window with TWO of these notices in What is the thinking..."Oh, well having these in my back window will stop people from ramming into me (more likely to if you ask me) OR I know, in order to show how much I love my children I'll limit the rear view vision in my car thus making it far more likely that I'll have a crash with my 'tiny people' in the car. OH PURLEASE....

Saw a classic one on my way home. "Stud on board", he was driving some barried up clio. Purlease, methinks someone is compensating for something

' Babe on Board' complete with playboy decals, furry pink steering wheel covers, and furrry pink dice.
Why not just paint 'Trollop' on teh bonnet and be done with it?

MrMariella · 11/05/2007 17:46

I've seen that done!

Loath them! I keep trying to think of something catchier than "Human on board, I don't want to die, so if you're going to crash please aim for someone else".

As for the person who said that when they see them they would give the person more room because their child might be distracting them. I'm sorry but any driver could be distracted by anything, inside or outside the car. You should be giving them enough room anyway!

SparklyGothKat - we have the "disabled passenger on board please leave 8ft for my wheelchair" sign on the work van. Unfortunately people tend to ignore them too. Maybe if there were less "baby on board" signs around people might start paying attention to the ones like ours which are actually useful.

I dislike them too, but I do have one I do only put it up when I am on the motorway though.

Especially dislike the princess ones

MrMariella · 11/05/2007 18:26

peachy - have you thought that one through?

the very last thing one reads whilst ton-ing it down the motorway is someone's car signs..........

My neighbours have a 'grandchild on board', which I thought was pretty bad until the 'Beware - grandparent driving' arrived. Nice people, but sheeesh!
