To think Eddie Redmayne is a really annoying Marius

I’m clearly not being unreasonable.

His rubbishness, quivering mouth and old fashioned voice have just been overshadowed by the utter crapness of Russell Crowe.

Not sure I can make it through the rest.

I think Eddie Redmayne is annoying period.

I also hate his face.

Yes yes yes. And when he sings he sounds like Kermit the Frog. But without the charm or emotional depth.

I can't deal with Eddie Redmayne.

To be fair I hate most of the casting in Les Mis. Amanda makes a very simpering Colette. Anne H is practically just singing for her Oscar

I do however love Sam Barks’ Fantine so far though am slightly biased as also liked her on the 25th anniversary concert

Russell crowe is something else lol but he isn't exactly far off. Not sure what it is. Never seems to speak loud even in his speaking roles.

My ears were bleeding at his caterwauling.

I like Eddie as Marius, the rest of the casting and singing voices leave a lot to be desired though.

I may be biased though because Rob Houchen is one of my favourite Marius' from the West End production that I have seen far too many times and he very much reminds me of him

I didn’t think it could be worse than ‘look down’ but stars hit a new low.

Anne h annoyed me but no one can ever match Lea Salonga for me so she was doomed to begin with.

And obviously she cares a great deal about my opinion.

Samantha Barks steals the show and they should have cast more people with a talent for musicals instead of actors who can’t really sing.

Redmayne is actually one of the better ones in that film I think!

I’ve never seen west end yet, am going this July and I literally can’t wait

I feel sad for my ears watching this movie

Prefer Ruthie henshall as fantine and lea salongaas Eponine personally but I agree they, and pretty much everyone else who has ever played Fantine on the west end, roundly outclasses Anne Hathaway.

It was a nice surprise recognising Colm Wilkinson as the Bishop, wish they had done that more.

I also hate his face.

Yes! His face is very off-putting! There's something about his manner I don't like, either. I liked Fantastic Beasts, but Dan Fogler really made the movie for me.

Ah see Lea was my first Fantine, and Ruthie for me is the voice of Grizabella so it’s strange hearing her sing iconic I dreamed a dream

Samantha Barks as Eponine was the only high point in that movie for me!
Anne Hathaway as Fantine was better than I expected her to be though.
