So I have the dreaded lurgy and my dp has gone to work and put all the meds back on top of the cupboard aibu to ring him at work and ask him to come home and get them down or do I wait till his break at 12 when he said he is nipping home anyway either way im late taking them and can feel my temperature shooting up

Wow - is it fashionable to be plain nasty on here now? It's like a competition to see who can be the ""funniest" with the quick witted quips nastiest with the most spiteful sarcasm

This is the second thread today where I think that some of the posters on here come across like playground bullies

@LEM IF the OP is genuinely ill then I feel sorry for her but I think the OP needs a little teasing to see that calling her DH out of work for a minor issue as this was is ridiculous.

I had flu recently - I can tell you now there would have been no climbing onto kitchen cupboards for me and yes I was still able to mnet!!! I also had to get my Dp to take me to the Dr and to talk to the Dr on my behalf while I sat there with tears rolling down my face so yea you are all being a bit shitty.

Thankfully the OP seems oblivious to it all

Ok op I have a self diagnostic tool for you....

Stand in front of a mirror.
Ask yourself these questions.

Am I a tiny child?

Am I withering away?

Have I lost some limbs?

Have I somehow turned into a ickle wickle, cutey wootey, fluffy kittie kins??

If the answer to all of these is no= you are being pathetic.

Then ask yourself this....

Am I capable of standing in front of a fucking mirror and asking myself these pointless questions??

Answer Yes??

But...it is a bit funny? The OP needs to be able to laugh at herself - thinking of calling her husband home to get her lemsip meds, then we find out mum is available to help anyway, plus the ‘stranded on a kitchen worktop for 90 minutes and blaming MN for this‘ thing...

I think it's pretty obvious the OP's not reading this any more.
Her last post was so transparent and unlikely that some might have thought she 'intended' it to be funny. It's unfortunate if she didn't, because it was.

With all that I doubt I’d be able to think let alone type!!

I have though had an emergency GP appt within an hour ... AND on a Sunday. So it is possible.

I'm just going to have to say...liar liar pants on fire, sitting on a telephone wire.

Like anyone gets in to see a GP that fast at this time of year. 😂😄 Also it takes longer to get formal test results for some of your many ailments then that.
