You're honestly asking this?

I assume there's going to be a massive drip feed about your mobility. Or that not having the meds now will literally life-threatening.

Unless one or both of those two scenarios are present, then of course you shouldn't phone him

duckingfisaster · 08/02/2018 11:23

If you are in a wheelchair or otherwise physically disabled/have a broken leg & are in traction etc then that was rather thoughtless of him. If you aren't then what is stopping you getting them yourself?

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/02/2018 11:26

Is there some sort of drip feed as to why you can’t get them yourself? Anyway he’s home in 35 mins....

Blackteadrinker77 · 08/02/2018 11:26

Do you have a neighbour you can text?

I wouldn't ring any one at work for this.

Honeycombcrunch · 08/02/2018 11:27

Is there a reason he's put them out of your reach?

FelicityMorange · 08/02/2018 11:35

Drippity drip drip heading our way...

fleshmarketclose · 08/02/2018 11:36

If you can't climb up and get them then you should wait until he pops back at twelve. If you've only got the lurgy being late with what I presume is paracetamol, ibuprofen and possibly antibiotics isn't going to kill you.

TheNaze73 · 08/02/2018 11:38

Very unreasonable to disturb someone at work for such a trivial matter.

HarrietKettleWasHere · 08/02/2018 11:38

Just get your head down, waiting a bit longer for basic over the counter cold medicines won't harm you in any way.

Whowhatwhy · 08/02/2018 11:39

OP you have my sympathy. I'm home with the flu feeling awful and wouldn't want to be standing on chairs either. Dh has left my tablets, drinks and a list of times to take them next to me and has set alarms on my phone in case I'm asleep!

Chanelprincess · 08/02/2018 11:40

Phoning him at work would be completely ridiculous unless you are physically disabled or your illness means taking your medications at a certain time is absolutely essential. You sound completely self centred.

upsideup · 08/02/2018 11:40

If you are physically are unable to reach and need the medication to survuve then you need more support and care, call DH.
If you just have the flu and will live taking meds in 1hr when dh gets home then just deal with it untill then.

ReanimatedSGB · 08/02/2018 11:41

To be fair, if OP has a high temperature, she may not be safe climbing about on chairs.
But you won't die of waiting for another half an hour OP if it's just a nasty cold.

RandomDreams · 08/02/2018 11:44

It's a cold, you can wait.

Mulch · 08/02/2018 11:44

I assume you we're taking piss and it's gone over everyone's head

pumpersnatch · 08/02/2018 11:45

Unless the HUGE and IMMINENT dripfeed announces you have mobility problems then of course YABU and you could stabd on a chair.

All those saying she feels too ill she's managed to access the internet, type and post a new thread I'm sure she'll cope.

LoudestRoar · 08/02/2018 11:48

Is this a reverse?

blueskyinmarch · 08/02/2018 11:48

You either wait until he comes home or stand on a chair to get them yourself. Don't call him at work if he is going to be home in 90 minutes.

JellyBeanPaws · 08/02/2018 11:49

Wtf I need to know why you can’t stand on a chair?????

daisychain01 · 08/02/2018 11:50

Poor DP!

teaiseverything · 08/02/2018 11:51

I'm hoping you come back and say you're wheelchair bound or disabled in another way that means you can't get to them and they're urgently needed meds. Otherwise, YABU.

I'm not being a rude bitch, I'm chronically ill and disabled myself and it wouldn't occur to me to phone my DH home from work for meds unless they were urgent.

dudsville · 08/02/2018 11:52

Absolutely call him! And ask him to pick up some macdonalds, and clean the windows so you can look out ffs!

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2018 12:05

Dudsville that's a great idea because I fancy McDonalds and I'm too lazy unable to go and get my own. He could run the hoover round while he's here because I can definitely feel a sniffle coming on! Wink
