I have started a new job and been given the extremely important task of going to the shop to get biscuits for the staff room at lunchtime. I want to make a good impression with my taste in biscuits. Please help! (I’ll be getting about 4 packs)

Serialweightwatcher · 07/02/2018 09:35

LuckyAmy1986 · 07/02/2018 09:35

Shortbread. Caramel digestives. Milk chocolate rich tea. Crunch cream things?!

LuckyAmy1986 · 07/02/2018 09:35

Ooh yes chocolate fingers!

Talcott2007 · 07/02/2018 09:37

For a mixed group - I'd go with Bourbons, Custard Creams, Choc Digestive and Ginger Nuts

MiddleClassProblem · 07/02/2018 09:37

I’m not a teacher her but I’d probably get hob nobs, choc digestives, Maryland cookies and shortbread or something else non chocolate

MiddleClassProblem · 07/02/2018 09:37

Oh custard creams that’s a good shout for my 4th

AuntFidgetWonkhamStrongNajork · 07/02/2018 09:37

Bourbons.

Although I think chocolate digestives won the last poll.

TheMadGardener · 07/02/2018 09:37

Chocolate hobnobs. Viennese fingers. Ginger creams. Shortbread. Chocolate fingers.

Rebeccaslicker · 07/02/2018 09:38

I would mix it up.

So - packet of posh chocolate ones (either a tin with all different ones or quadruple chunk cookies or similar)

  • plain ones like hobnobs
  • Jaffa cakes (because everyone loves them)
  • something with caramel or lemon, like the borders ones (they do butterscotch chip or lemon drizzle)

Thanks - lots of great suggestions!

Sainsbury Oaty biscuits are absolutely delicious, and very cheap. They definitely have the best cost to performance ratio of any biscuit I've ever tasted.

Party Rings! Turn the office into FUNTIMES GALORE!

LemonShark · 07/02/2018 09:58

Mint Oreos!

Make sure at least one packet is dairy free (Oreos and hobnobs) for any colleagues who don't eat dairy :) that kind of thoughtfulness will go a long way!

amusedbush · 07/02/2018 09:58

Fox's Golden Creams

FingersCrossedHard · 07/02/2018 09:58

Coconut rings!

Hillarious · 07/02/2018 09:59

Anything by Fox's and if you buy digestives, they must be McVitie's.

Katedotness1963 · 07/02/2018 09:59

Simmers chocolate chip gingers
Walkers shortbread, especially the raspberry and white chocolate ones
Rich Tea
Plain Digestives

woodlanddreamer · 07/02/2018 10:01

Chocolate digestives, hob nobs, crunch cream (fabulous value & a great favourite here), and something for yourself!

Redpriestandmozart · 07/02/2018 10:02

Whatever is on offer, nothing is refused in this house!

falsepriest · 07/02/2018 10:02
Biscuit

Perfect opportunity! Never given one before Grin

Steeley113 · 07/02/2018 10:03

I’d get a variety pack with bourbons, custard creams, nice and shortbread in + choc hobnobs, Maryland cookies and pink wafers!

Mummybo88 · 07/02/2018 10:05

Tunnocks Tea Cakes & Caramel Wafers are the best!
