I know this isn’t an AIBU but I thought I would get more responses here.
I had 4 hours last night and feel absolutely awful today. On average i’d say I get about 6 hours but would love 8

I go to bed very late, but usually sleep around 7 hours. I am a very very good sleeper though and can easily sleep 12 hours a night so I try to force myself up after 7-8 hours. I also often take a nap, but again I try to limit it so it doesn’t stop me sleeping at night.

Xmasfairy86 · 21/01/2018 07:21

I would like more than I get. Probably between 6-7 hours a night. I'd love 8-9. But for the last week I've been waking at either 3:47 or 4:57 within 5 mins and struggling to get back to sleep after.

ChesterFuckingDraws · 21/01/2018 07:22

I work shifts so it varies, I probably average about 5hrs sleep and feel awful a lot of the time. Every 6-8weeks I have a night that I get about 8hrs and it’s bliss

NotAChristmasCakePop · 21/01/2018 07:22

6-7 always disturbed, never enough.

Had 8 1/2 last night after dealing with poorly child with a sick but the 2 previous nights so don't really feel like I've had a decent sleep either!

Bearsinmotion · 21/01/2018 07:22

I’m usually asleep by 9 as DS will be up around 5:30 and I am usually up two or three times a night. Hopefully manage 7 hours broken sleep. Sleep through the night once a month if I’m lucky 😔

Grumblepants · 21/01/2018 07:23

Recently about 3 to 4 hours a night as my 14 mo is fucking evil!

Beansprout30 · 21/01/2018 07:25

About 6/7 hour sometimes broken If toddler wakes, usually asleep by 9pm as have to be up at 5.30. Used to the early starts now but it certainly catches up by 8pm zzz

Purplerain101 · 21/01/2018 07:26

I can’t have caffeine as have a bad intolerance to it. Feel like a walking zombie and can barely speak I’m so tired

DragonsAndCakes · 21/01/2018 07:26

About eight. I need nine though!

AdmiralSirArchibald · 21/01/2018 07:27

Around 7 hours sometimes 6 but never more and always interrupted. 9 month old currently getting up at 5.30 so permanently tired feeling!

glow1984 · 21/01/2018 07:30

6-7 hours usually. Definitely not enough. I'm always tired. Last night, not even 4 as Im coming down with something and struggled to sleep, and then DS woke up at half 4!!!!

CakeAndChocolate · 21/01/2018 07:30

I get about 6-7 hours a night, which is probably ok, but I'm working on a 4.5 year deficit, I think I could sleep for a week.

Purplerain101 · 21/01/2018 07:33

Wish i’d appreciated being able to sleep deeply for 12 hours as a teenager! If I get 8 hours of undisturbed sleep now it feels incredible (happens about once every 2 months)

notanother11plusmum · 21/01/2018 07:37

6-7 hours which works if I exercise and don't drink. Knackering if I have a couple of glasses of wine and then I toss and turn all night.

Prusik · 21/01/2018 07:40

My choice would be 8 or 9 hours but a have a 12 month old and a 5 day old so sleep is in short supply these days

AndTheLittleOneSaid · 21/01/2018 07:43

I cosleep with a 3-year-old who has eczema . The scratching wakes me up throughout the night. I've slept a full 7 hours literally once since she was born...but usually I get 2, 3 or 4 hour bursts and often can't get back to sleep.

MillieMoodle · 21/01/2018 07:44

5-6 hours usually.

I'm ok with that in the week then try to have an extra hour at the weekend, although thanks to a combination of DS1 and DS2 (they seem to work as a tag team!) I only managed 4 hours on Friday night and 3 hours on Monday and Tuesday nights so have been tired this weekend and haven't managed an extra hour.

I have found that giving up caffeine has given me so much more energy though. Haven't really had it for two years and the change has been amazing.

RadioGaGoo · 21/01/2018 07:44

I am so looking forward to a decent night sleep when my baby sleeps through the night. I would like eight hours, uninterrupted dreams

BitOfFun · 21/01/2018 07:45

I've had around five hours most nights since my disabled daughter was born 17 years ago, but I've often topped that up by napping during the day.

pilates · 21/01/2018 07:46

I feel good on 8 hours

Between 5-6 broken hours currently, but would love 8 hours of just sleep, all the way through!

ZoopDragon · 21/01/2018 08:05

About 6 hours, with a couple of wake ups. Less than 5 and I feel horrendous!
Before kids I used to get 8-9 hours a night.

Tinkie25 · 21/01/2018 08:06

I’d love 8 but it’s usually 6-7 hrs. If I have something on my mind then I get to sleep quickly but wake up at silly o’clock and can’t stop thinking about it.

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 21/01/2018 08:08

About three hours, broken. Dc2 (6 months) is trying to murder me by a combination of non stop bf and sleep deprivation.
