Mine are

  1. to focus more on being healthy and taking care of myself.
  2. start the research for my book
  3. be more organised ( can anyone recommend an organiser app or something?)

What are yours? Or anything you'd like to change next year?

ComeTheFuck0nBridget · 31/12/2017 10:17

Same as every year: get to my goal weight

At least this year though, for the first time ever, I'm actually already half way there Grin

PersonAtHome · 31/12/2017 10:19

Start (properly) writing a book (I've done some brain dump writing but need to start properly structuring and building characters).
Be a better wife and mum.
Eat more healthily.
Declutter.
Exercise more.
Maybe learn to knit or sew.

PrinceofWales · 31/12/2017 10:23

Equimum · 31/12/2017 10:29
  1. improve healthy eating for the whole family. We have ordered a veg box and done an order of healthy ingredients from Ocado. Life-style change, not diet style.
  2. less social media, especially when with children.
  3. plan family time. I’m a SAHP and have often been lead by DH at w/e, but feel we may be more (pro-)active if I take a bit more control, now DC are a bit bigger.
minipie · 31/12/2017 10:29

Get off mumsnet!

Get on with our long planned, long delayed house renovation

The two might be related Blush

PrinceofWales · 31/12/2017 10:29

Doing yoga at home (YouTube Adriana Yoga videos). I find it really difficult doing yoga on my own, so it's a bit of a mission to do it regularly

crisscrosscranky · 31/12/2017 10:34

I am going to try and live a simpler life- trips to the park rather than soft play, walk the dog rather than going shopping for things I don't need...

@gingerclementine I started the 'tidy up 27 things' rule about 6 months ago and it's changed my life ish - my house is almost always visitor ready now!

MinkowskisButterfly · 31/12/2017 10:38

To get on top of my house and the clutter that is every where.

Get stuck into my study/prep for next academic year (I am doing a degree but have had to defer after last academic year due to family issues).

Oh and lose some of this excess weight I am carrying.

MillieMoodle · 31/12/2017 10:43

Just generally, to get my shit together!
I hope to manage that by resolving to:

  • Declutter the house and empty all my stuff that's still at my parents' house even though I moved out over 10 years ago.
  • start exercising regularly, at least twice a week, every week. Currently do nothing.
  • eat more healthily and cut out the crap. Hoping this one and the exercise one will help me lose weight.
  • lose 2 stone.
  • spend less time on my phone, especially at the weekend, and get out and do more with the kids.
FauxFox · 31/12/2017 10:45

I am going to read 12 books this year - I used to read loads but my phone has taken me over!

I am also going to start using the calendar/diary function on my phone to be more organised.

Last year I resolved to give blood as I never had and I have been every 4 months (3 times this year) and will continue to do this - if you are searching for a very worthwhile and achievable resolution i’d highly recommend it Grin

IHaveACuntingPlan · 31/12/2017 10:45

Be more proactive with work so I get more of it and then be less skint

Force myself to get out more and do more things related to my hobby and meet more people

Be a bit less lazy
