I've been ill all over xmas, now DD is ill. The house is a tip as a result.

Dd's boyfriend is here, she's in bed ill and I feel like crap but I am now cooking his fucking lunch. I just want to slob in my pyjamas.

Surely he should just do the decent thing and fuck off home?

Rant over...he's lovely but I don't want him here right now.

Why are you cooking him lunch? Stop being a martyr.

Kochicoo · 29/12/2017 12:50

YANBU but I don't understand why you haven't just asked your DD to ask him to go home?

CheapSausagesAndSpam · 29/12/2017 12:50

Why are you cooking his lunch!? Tell him to help himself ffs.

Bambamber · 29/12/2017 12:51

Put his lunch in a container and send him on his way

PinkHeart5914 · 29/12/2017 12:52

Why are you cooking us lunch? Is there a reason who can’t cook? I could kind of understand cooking when ill for your own dc but you are not his mother

Tell him to go home. Say so with dd ill are you planning on going home? Hopefully that will be enough and he’ll get the hint.

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 29/12/2017 12:52

Why the actual fuck are you cooking his lunch? Confused
Just tell him to go home!

AnaWinter · 29/12/2017 12:52

Another one who doesn’t understand why you are cooking his lunch. Tell him to go home.

PinkHeart5914 · 29/12/2017 12:52

*his not us

WorraLiberty · 29/12/2017 12:52

Another martyr to add to the ever growing Mumsnet pile.

Just why?

Tell him to help himself.

ilovesooty · 29/12/2017 12:52

Tell him to leave.

BulletFox · 29/12/2017 12:53

After lunch, tell him to be on his merry way! (Or fuck right off if you'd prefer.)

kaytee87 · 29/12/2017 12:53

Erm don't cook his lunch then? Tell your daughter to ask him to go home.

Namechangetempissue · 29/12/2017 12:54

Eh? Is he incapable of making a bloody sandwich? Don't be a martyr!

SlowlyShrinking · 29/12/2017 12:55

He might not be getting the fuck off vibes from you, because you’re cooking his lunch.

BulletFox · 29/12/2017 12:56

Can't you get him started on vacuuming or summat whilst you're doing his lunch?

BastardGoDarkly · 29/12/2017 12:56

Since you've already started cooking his lunch (inexplicably)

Put it in front of him, and say... You'll have to go after that love ok? I feel like shit....

Then go get your jamas on.

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 29/12/2017 12:56

Another martyr to add to the ever growing Mumsnet pile.

Indeed Worra.

The amount of doormat fuckwittery on here just astounds me on a daily basis. What is wrong with people??

Butterymuffin · 29/12/2017 12:57

If she's old enough to have a boyfriend, she's old enough to cook him lunch as a guest coming to the house. (Assuming he's not such a long term boyfriend that he treats your house as a second home and would cook for himself.) Tell her to take over the cooking.

swingofthings · 29/12/2017 13:00

What's wrong with telling him he is welcome to prepare himself some lunch? If there are things he shouldn't use, tell him so. If there is nothing in the kitchen, tell him that you're sorry but if he wants lunch, he'll have to go and buy some stuff or go home.

Personally, I would not just tell him to help himself but add cheekily with a smile that he should also feel welcome to clean up the whole kitchen!

Crunchymum · 29/12/2017 13:01

Bet this isn't going the way the OP expected???

Namechangetempissue · 29/12/2017 13:01

She is ill Buttery so presumably incapable of cooking herself.
Seriously OP -you can tell him to leave. You don't even have to be horrible about it. Just say 'would you mind heading off after lunch. DD is unwell and I feel awful. We will see you in the New Year'.

brizzledrizzle · 29/12/2017 13:02

I don't mind how the thread goes anyway, I was just letting off steam so you can think what you like, I suspected that I WBU.

OP posts:
swingofthings · 29/12/2017 13:02

By the way, I'm healthy, just being lazy here today, so not preparing any lunch for DS who is 14. He can get up, open the fridge and do something and if he comes and moan there is no bread, I'll show him where my purse is and tell him what a good idea he has to go and get a few bits until I do the full shopping!

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 29/12/2017 13:02

But why are you cooking for him??

DeStijl · 29/12/2017 13:03

Confused don't cook for him.. It really is that simple. Some people on here astound me with their martyrdom. Unless you're going to drip feed that he has no arms and legs then he's perfectly capable of getting his own food.
