To be really angry with dh

Animalfarmfan · 20/12/2017 19:53

So dh works full time. I work very part time around caring for our 3 dds.
Dd3 still has toileting accidents. She clearly had one this evening as I was cooking dinner. I could hear dh ask her when she had the accident. Although he didn't know I could hear.
I carried on cooking believing dh was dealing with it.
When I served dinner I was surprised to seeds still in wet clothes. By this time dh had gone to to his Christmas party.
Aibu to think this is laziness at best and neglect at worse.

He's a twat. Put the key in the lock and go to bed.

Animalfarmfan · 20/12/2017 19:54

See her

What a twat. Is he usually like this?

FatBottomedGal · 20/12/2017 19:57

That’s absolutely disgraceful. Have you text him to ask wtf he thinks he’s doing? Your poor DD :(

happygirly1 · 20/12/2017 19:57

He left his daughter sitting in urine-wet clothes rather than arrive five minutes later on a night out?

Honestly, in your shoes, I would be livid. Humiliating and uncomfortable for your DD and just adding another job to your pile because he couldn't be bothered.

Sorry, I think this is awful.

Animalfarmfan · 20/12/2017 19:59

He is not and has never been the most hands on father but feel that is a new low.

YANBU Angry

Animalfarmfan · 20/12/2017 20:00

I am seriously considering sending a text but may wait till he is home. Poor Dd

That’s pretty shit. I’m awaiting the back story of how he does fuck all around the house but is a “great dad”

Btw- it literally doesn’t matter in this scenario who works full time and who works very part time. He was there, he knew his child had wet her clothes, he chose not to change her. Working hours are entirely irrelevant.

TammySwansonTwo · 20/12/2017 20:01

Unacceptable. What an arsehole.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 20/12/2017 20:02

Don’t send him any text. Speak to him tomorrow when he is actually sitting in front of you.

inlectorecumbit · 20/12/2017 20:03

Text him now--perhaps it might just spoil is night out a wee bit.
very poor parenting- poor DD

PoorYorick · 20/12/2017 20:04

I wouldn't leave any child, least of all my own, in piss soaked clothes. What is wrong with him?

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 20/12/2017 20:06

Poor DD Sad how old is she? What an absolutely shitty thing for him to do. Takes approximately 3 minutes to strip a child and pop pyjamas on but he just let her sit in her own urine?

I’m actually furious on your behalf.

Silverthorn · 20/12/2017 20:08

Very bad form. For comparison, in this situation my dh would have either changed her or told me if it was an urgent appointment he couldn't miss. But he would have just kept the taxi waiting a few minutes in this instance and changed her.
I am a sahm and he works full time but he still cares for our dc.

foxyloxy78 · 20/12/2017 20:11

I am furious too. Stupid stupid man. Text him now and make his evening hell.

Animalfarmfan · 20/12/2017 20:16

It was the not saying that annoyed me the most. If had said Dd3 had an accident but I have run out of time can you change her would be better.
She is four but is not very independent when it comes to these things.

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 20/12/2017 20:18

Old enough to feel humiliated then Sad

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 20/12/2017 20:20

That is just awful, what a fucking twat. You need to make very clear to him that it isn't acceptable & won't be happening again Angry

OnTheRise · 20/12/2017 20:25

That's disgraceful. Your poor daughter.

wizzywig · 20/12/2017 20:28

If he is that kind of person, I'm sure he won't mind if you stop washing his pants and put them straight back in the cupboard. He can experience wearing dirty underwear. Hope your daughter didnt have any rashes.

Lizzie48 · 20/12/2017 20:30

That really is awful, your poor DD! How long does it take to help her clean up and put her pyjamas on. What a lazy twat! Angry

EvilDoctorBallerinaRoastDuck · 20/12/2017 20:31

My DH would have called for me. Xmas Hmm

ILoveMillhousesDad · 20/12/2017 20:32

Oh my god. What an absolute horrible fucking prick.

I would be fuming.

YeahRightOk · 20/12/2017 20:33

Lock the prick out.
