I've just had a crisp sandwich. The only ones we had in the house were BBQ Transformers.

Between 2 slices of buttered bread with a squirt of mayo. Oh. My. God. Food if the gods.

How on Earth have I not had one of these until now!

AIBU to eat these for the remainder of December?

Golden Wonder salt and vinegar trumps the transformers Grin

ConciseandNice · 08/12/2017 16:19

YABU. Seek medical help at once.

ticketytock1 · 08/12/2017 16:19

Tayto cheese and onion, generous layer of real butter, crusty bap and a cup of tea. Mother of god you will die when you taste it

ticketytock1 · 08/12/2017 16:20

@ConciseandNice you don't know what you are missing

ToadOfSadness · 08/12/2017 16:21

Try a cheese and crisp sandwich, gives it more oomph.

ConciseandNice · 08/12/2017 16:21

Hmmmm I have The Fear.

-That I'll start and be unable to stop.-

laudanum · 08/12/2017 16:23

Seabooks cheese and onion crisps between two slices of buttered bread, and a slosh of ketchup. Perfection!

planbatman · 08/12/2017 16:24

Ah but northern or southern Tayto tickety?

TheSpottedZebra · 08/12/2017 16:25

Frazzles.
Frazzles next.

bettybyebye · 08/12/2017 16:26

Smooth peanut butter and salt and vinegar crisps on white bread is amazing!

Or any crisps with salted butter on white bread. Crisp sandwiches have to be on white bread!

JennyBlueWren · 08/12/2017 16:27

McCoys (any flavour) with cheese in a sandwich!

Eve · 08/12/2017 16:29

what tickety said - Northern Tayto obviously , Irwins bread and Nambarrie tea.. followed by a 15 for an authentic, traditional meal.

ConciseandNice · 08/12/2017 16:30

This has basically turned into crisp pornography! Outrageous.

Frederickvonhefferneffer · 08/12/2017 16:30

Wotsits. Cheap white bread. Butter.

Heaven

Sanshin · 08/12/2017 16:31

YABU to have used transformers. Cheese and onion crisp sandwich is the only suitable concoction. Not had one for years but was temped the other day when the cupboards were looking bare, I must admit!

LuckyAmy1986 · 08/12/2017 16:32

Soft white bread
Cream cheese
Pastrami
Mayo
Cucumber or tomato
Crisps (ideally Thai sweet chilli)
This is my favourite sandwich ever!

BackforGood · 08/12/2017 16:32

So sorry you had a deprived childhood Sad

Grin The BEST is dairylea, with ready salted crisps. Mmmm.
Someaddedsugar · 08/12/2017 16:34

It sounds weird but the best is ready salted with jam on white bread - honestly one of the best sandwiches there is!!

wasonthelist · 08/12/2017 16:35

Pah ! Was hoping for Crystal Meth at least

MammothMountain · 08/12/2017 16:35

Philly and salt and vinegar, or grated cheese and salt and vinegar.

You haven't lived until you have tasted the purest form, just butter and crisps.

I fed this to my children earlier this year, they thought it needed a filling to go with it like ham or chicken.

lovelyjubilly · 08/12/2017 16:38

This has literally never occurred to me...

AdoraBell · 08/12/2017 16:41

You put mayo on a crisp sandwich Shock

That’s disgusting behaviour Xmas Hmm the only way to prep a crisp sandwich is white bread, butter and ready salted crisps.

ShotsFired · 08/12/2017 16:45

ToadOfSadness Try a cheese and crisp sandwich, gives it more oomph

Might I suggest a little coleslaw for even more oomph? Waitrose essentials for choice, as follows:

Dirty white bread
Coleslaw
Cheese
Crisps

Dirty white bread

Wacadu · 08/12/2017 16:48

Crisps on a sandwich is wrong. As is banana.

I'm well aware I'm in the minority here! Grin

thismeansnothing · 08/12/2017 16:48

Prawn cocktail seabrooks make the best crisp butties. Closely followed by T-bone steak roysters
