To feel politically lost?!

Since being able to vote I have always been a labour supporter, but in more recent times I'm feeling more and more at a loss with who I feel truly represents me. The whole Lily Madigan Women's Officer saga has been the final straw. I just can't get on board with this bullshit and feel let down by this runaway PC brigade (which I admit I used to be a part of)! Anyone else feeling the same?!

I flip flop between lib dems and conservatives. I think the sooner people stop feeling obliged to vote for one party for life the easier you'll find the process. Vote for the party that fits your beliefs at any one time.

Yanbu; I'm done supporting Labour, wouldn't vote Tory if you paid me (they started this, plus they're killing the NHS) and dont trust the Greens after the 'non man' incident.

No. I work for the public sector and literally cannot hack another minute if conservative rule. The prisons are in a mess, mental health care is in a mess, there is no money, people's lives are at risk everyday under this government. I have no doubt whatsoever that I would vote labour tomorrow if there was an election .... and I am not traditionally a labour voter.

I'm afraid to say, the conservatives are out of touch and have no idea how to support the must vulnerable in our society. Sad but true.

Apples - very true. I too am a public sector worker and so inevitably will end up leaning to the left when it comes round, but I am finding myself becoming more (dare I say it) conservative (with a small c) in my views as I age! It goes against all I've grown up with.

DJ - would you take the decision to not vote at all / spoil your ballot paper / other?

Labour Stronghold in our area for over a century.

High rates of crime. Lots of drugs. Poverty.

And our current Labour MP drives round in her Range Rover telling the poor she is supporting them. Do fuck off.

Our Tory candidate had a 20%swing and our County Council has had Conservatives in this year. Reopened libraries.

We need a change in our area. Labour have trashed it and done nothing over last 30 years. Our town lost its A+E department, local bus services have gone.

And we were a 66% leave area.

I've voted labour for the last 30 years. Not any more. They've pissed on Jo Cox's grave and I want nothing more to do with them.

Perhaps this hypocrisy is what is causing unequal distribution of resources?

I've just cancelled my Labour party membership largely over the misogyny they've displayed and also Brexit.

I would never vote Tory. I used to like the Lib Dems but not Tim Fallon so they are out.

Even the Greens and the WEP have drunk the trans Kool Aid. So I am left with no one to vote for and yet I passionately believe I should vote. So I'm lost too :(

Because if you look at the Tory Governments of the last decade, you will find an ideological attack on women. This rediculous, failed, morally depleted nonsense, which has strangled the economy and driven up debt, has affected poor women most.

It is a deliberate purge.

Frankly her Range Rover or choice of it is irrelevant. However, her broken promises are. As an avid supporter of her in 2015, she contacted my office as a supporter of our work. She met with various services and proclaimed she would endeavour to support local businesses.

She had her car parking bill for disabled drivers slammed out of the door.

She did drive round in her large car speaking through a loudspeaker telling the poor she was placing them at the centre of her campaign.

Problems faced by hard working peoplease in our town.

Rogue landlords
Rogue letting agents
Used syringes on streets
Retired people living with bars at their windows in a once proud working class area

The list is endless.

Exactly who else is there to vote for? I've always voted green, but am not likely to now, I cannot conscience their policies on various matters.
Both DH and I have spoiled our ballots before, particularly in things such as the PCC election and mayoral election that we completely disagreed with.
Is there anyone left in Britain that actually cares about what happens to it and and her citizens?

The Jo Cox scheme was set up by Labour Women to help get more women into senior leadership positions. It is a good thing. We need many more women in leadership.

Labour stronghold here, useless council, awful MP who always thinks they are a shoe in, rarely comes to the constituency. Don't think they are in touch much with their constituents either tbh.

I agree. Can't vote Tory, Labour or Green for reasons given above. Can't believe the misogyny in the Labour party. Can't believe the cruelty of the Torys. Can't believe the utter incompetence being displayed by both. Might consider lib dem. Or that buckethead guy is sounding very sensible.

The next election will be the only election I've ever not voted in.
I don't trust the liberal democrats, I would rather toss myself under a bus than vote conservatives and if I did vote labour I would be tossing myself under a bus (because I'm female). So I'll be applying for Australian citizenship ASAP and not using my right to vote in the UK. There probably isn't much point sending my vote to the UK anyway..: I doubt I'll ever return for more than a holiday.

YANBU - they’re all dreadful. I was a Labour Party member for 17 years, before resigning earlier this year over the hard-left takeover and rampant antisemitism in the party as well as Corbyn’s failure to come out against Brexit. I will still vote labour as we have a brilliant, sensible local MP, but I feel politically homeless.
