A transwoman is someone born male who wants to be female.
Originally you had to have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria to be considered a transwoman.
The other set of men who claim they are transwomen are, in old money, cross dressing fetishists.
Both these definitions are officially transwomen.
The trouble has arisen because they claim they are actually, biologically women. That the term woman is simply wrong and it should apply to how you feel in your head, rather than what your body dictates.
You don’t have to have surgery, you don’t even have to wear a dress. You can just say it out loud. With a beard.
Cis means you’re not trans. So normal women. Women dislike the term because they are not willing to be defined as not being ‘a man who identifies as woman’. The word woman is considered sufficient.
Transmen are people who are born female who want to be male. You rarely here from them, because no one listens to women.
Gender neutral, or non-binary is, loosely, someone who doesn’t identify as male or female.
They can be either sex, but they do not want the gendered expectations of society placed upon them.
Which sounds very feminist! But, they tend to be very a bit self obsessed and attention seeking.
People like me liken it to mods, punks, and Goths, back in the day.
And yes, if you get it wrong, it’s a heinous crime.
