Has OP even been back after starting this um, fresh, thread?

FavouriteParksAreCarParks · 04/11/2017 19:11

Of course not Dobop he’s too busy reading the replies and salivating.

Henrythehoover · 04/11/2017 19:17

Was the person saying it was alot my ex? He used to think once a month was alot it was part of the cause of our break up.

Inarutneedhelp · 04/11/2017 19:25

I had to stand over a lady in the office yesterday to help her on her computer. Her hair absolutely stank . My sister gets her hair washed and blow dry on a Saturday and it definitely smells by Thursday . I’m every day shower and second day include hair . My partner doesn’t wash regularly though and therefore it has caused serious trouble .

I think your friends might be giving you and other friend a hint

MsHarry · 04/11/2017 19:33

I take a bath every few weeks but shower daily.

MsHarry · 04/11/2017 19:36

Hair 3 times per week. it's bleached and doesn't get oily.

Coconutspongexo · 04/11/2017 19:40

MsHarry I’m so happy you posted that! I only wash my hair 3 times a week.. also bleached but I felt like a meff when everyone was saying they was theirs everyday.

Hazelatte26 · 04/11/2017 19:47

It varies.
Sometimes I shower everyday and wash hair every other.
Other weeks I shower and wash hair every 2nd day.
There have been times I've showered twice a day.

Bluntness100 · 04/11/2017 21:11

In the 60s and 70s it was perfectly normal to have a once a week bath

Not where I came from. I was born at the end of the sixties and I grew up being taught to wash or have a bath daily, every kid I knew and every adult did the same. You might not have, but the reason no one you knew smelled is because they were all washing themselves daily. You have to go back a lot further than the sixties before people didn’t wash daily.Hmm

Kursk · 04/11/2017 21:16

I try to wash daily. However we don’t have mains electricity so if the generator is down and there is not enough sun for the solar panels (ALL LAST WEEK!!) we have no running water so have to wash in the lake.

Doodlebug5 · 04/11/2017 21:18

I have psoriasis. I have to shower daily.

BubbaLips · 04/11/2017 21:18

shower and hair wash every morning and a bath maybe 4 times a week at night

Dozyoldtwonk · 04/11/2017 22:21

Daily shower, I feel minging otherwise Grin Thags just me though - DH & the DC bath every other day & one, two or all of them will jump in the shower with me

AbacusBabacus · 04/11/2017 23:09

I haven’t read all replies but I get the general gist of it! I’m quite embarrassed and am considering changing my routine .

Don't just consider it OP. Do it!

Cambionome · 04/11/2017 23:33

Christ - what is all this stuff about strip washing at a sink???! I thought that went out in the 70s!
How do you manage to wash your feet like that? I'm guessing you don't bother!

BetterEatCheese · 04/11/2017 23:36

Every day but only because I sweat a lot and I feel grotty if I don't shower. I don't have an issue with how often people wash, everyone knows their own bodies. My mum washes her hair once a week and showers twice. I am jealous of her!

Dobopdidoo1 · 04/11/2017 23:42

@favourite
YY. I imagine OP is getting off at all the foof washing images...
Get a fucking life

19lottie82 · 04/11/2017 23:46

I’ve got to admit I generally only shower every other day unless I’ve been at the gym.

But who on earth would think washing twice a week is too much, that’s grim!!!

YetAnotherNC2017 · 04/11/2017 23:52

Shower daily, wash hair twice weekly.

I’m a bit grossed out by this thread.

paxillin · 05/11/2017 00:12

On the contrary. I'm guessing you're quite unfit, otherwise standing on one leg whilst sticking the other in the sink to wash would be a blatantly obvious idea. Not that I do it often, the shower is quicker.

OkPedro · 05/11/2017 00:15

Feck off pax 😂😂😂

Breadwithgarlicon · 05/11/2017 00:22

I've had two good friends who both claimed openly and confidently that they didn't NEED to wash every day (and laughed at me). I could smell them both!

I also have an elderly aunt who almost never bathes (just has a sort of wash with filthy flannels). She doesn't stink but there's a kind of fogginess about her.

If you can't smell someone else who also doesn't wash very often, I would think it's because you're both about the same in terms of smell/freshness.

I shower at least once a day and can tell those who don't.

ProseccoMamam · 05/11/2017 00:38

I have a shower every night - I work out 6 nights a week Monday to Saturday. I only have 1 bath on a Sunday it’s my treat, I use a bath bomb and lots of random smellys. It’s good for achy muscles and to properly relax knowing I have a full hour to chill out by myself. Hair is only washed every 2-3 days though.

questionsandquestions · 05/11/2017 00:42

OP If you're real and that was a genuine question, then I wonder why you haven't read all the replies but just "got the gist". I think only by reading them all will you get the idea - you're definitely smelly. No-one here thinks you can wash twice a week and not be minging, especially in the summer, or after you've cleaned the house or exercised. I for one do not believe anyone said to you that was too much - you made that up, didn't you? Come on....
