CFN patio doors, sangria, ken from the shop update

Hello all, most of you probably won’t know what I’m on about but for those of you that do, I feel that I owe you an explanation. A friend alerted me to a few threads where I’d been called a troll etc.

I’ve been through a very long process with NDN about the doors (which I had been told were going to be replaced/ wall reinstated etc)

I had also been told by my lawyer that all was fine.

The planning dept have been on my side, as per all previous threads.

This all seemed to be going ahead until I returned home to find half of my flat wall caved in.

I had to move out to stay with a friend. The whole thing has been a total nightmare and it is still not resolved. My wall has been partially fixed, the patio doors remain and no one has seen hide nor hair of NDN or the builders for months.

My flat is now uninhabitable for the foreseeable and there are legal implications, planning laws and listed building laws which all have to be agreed and adhered to before anything will be done, apparently.

This may be terribly outing but I am beyond caring. I was told not to post on here, however, the advice I received was second to none and so I thank you all for that.

My grandma has been unwell so I have been back and forth to Spain, seems like all is against me!

Sorry I disappeared for so long, but you can imagine how awful it has been, I’m in a better place now, so thought it was time to come back and let you know that I’m not some fantasist making up stories about doors 😂

Hope to see some familiar names on the thread!

Especially as local planning and solicitors involved I hope OPs insurers will pay out and then upto insurers to reclaim from CFN. I guess it's the problem of permission to enter CFN flat if needed that's an issue but solicitors bet placed to answer.

Terrible situation quite unbelievable. Really awful to be forced out your home through extreme dangerous building works.

CelebrationSizedBounty · 01/11/2017 11:57

Wtf?? I really wasn’t expecting that turn of events.

What is going on with the neighbours? Who buys a listed flat, fucks it all up to be damned and then just buggers off??

Hope you get to the bottom of it all and it’s resolved as soon as poss OP!

I am so, so sorry. This kind of thing is the stuff of nightmares. I followed your previous thread open-mouthed, but this is actually actively evil behaviour. I don't know how people like your neighbours sleep at night, they are a disgrace.

Good wishes to you and your family. Flowers

Ladymadness · 01/11/2017 22:06

Well I wasn't expecting that update Shock hope they catch the feckers and hope span gran is better soon xx

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/11/2017 22:23

What a nightmare!

Presumably your block has buildings insurance, and you can claim on this?

Wishiwasonholiday1 · 01/11/2017 22:47

So sorry to hear things aren’t resolved yet. I hope they manage to trace CFN soon.
Flowers for SpanGran and a big Winefor you.

CircleofWillis · 01/11/2017 23:23

Have the nice people from planning been back to take a look and take reassuring measurements and pictures?

RedastheRose · 01/11/2017 23:39

Thank you for coming back to update us all whatty sorry to hear all of the bad news. 💐 for a span gran and best wishes for her full recovery. I'd assumed that you weren't updating because things were being resolved and very sad to hear that your own home has been damaged so spectacularly not just your garden invaded. I sincerely hope that things get resolved quickly. As pp have said their will be a paper trail to the buyers, the solicitor who acted on the purchase have an obligation to do anti-money laundering checks on their clients prior to acting for them this includes information on the directors and beneficial owners if the property was bought in a company name. There should be a clearly traceable connection from the estate agents to the solicitor to the client. Fingers crossed your solicitor gets to the bottom of it.

BerylStrEeek · 02/11/2017 00:02

This makes me wonder if the flat was bought as a money laundering scheme.

Dodgy foreign owners who disappear immediately. It doesn't make sense otherwise.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 02/11/2017 12:03

It wasn't Vlad and Vanka Lakielady.

They have been sat over a samovar eating beetroot paella since they got back from Korea.

Vanka was possibly involved in the CFBuilders disappearing into a shallow unmarked grave somewhere in the Urals but even they haven't been able to track down the owners - yet . . . .

They like SpanGran and Wattyyyy very much, and are angry and frustrated at this turn of events and are plotting how to sort things out.

Pearlsaringer · 02/11/2017 15:50

Schaden I do miss Vlad and Vanka, though of course I know they are sensitive deep down and won’t put in an appearance till Wattyy is feeling up to a visit.

Pearlsaringer · 02/11/2017 15:51

Which I very much hope will be soon!

safariboot · 02/11/2017 16:03

It's back! It's back! HYPE! \o/

Also, Shock , CFN's incompetence and arrogance knows no bounds. I suppose it shouldn't be surprising that they got cowboys in again.

I hope you don't end up screwed over over this. (Well, any more than already having your own home rendered uninhabitable). Brew Biscuit I'm worried you will be, since it's now your listed property that's been damaged too.

HashiAsLarry · 02/11/2017 16:20

Vlad and Vanka! I miss them

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 02/11/2017 16:22

Hi OP - I went 'Yay!" when I saw CFN in the title, then 'WHHHAAAATTT?" when I read about your wall being knocked down. Holy crap, how did that even happen? I have totally missed that part of the story.

Glad to hear SpanGran is better. Keep us posted!

RandomMess · 02/11/2017 16:26

How horrendous Angry hope things can move forward ASAP.

Love to SpanGran Flowers

hellsbellsmelons · 02/11/2017 16:30

OMFG!
What a nightmare you are having.
Thanks for updating and really really hope things improve for you soon.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 02/11/2017 16:46

Vlad and Vanka are waiting until Wattyyyy feels up to a visit. Vlad is preening in front of the mirror (finding out that he is someone's sexual fantasticy has done his ego no damage at all, as you can imagine, though Vanka has an opinion on that), and on his instructions Vanka is practising his "Balalaika Romantic Medley" to serenade (if required).

Eliza9917 · 02/11/2017 16:53

Was this the one where they stuck doors in their kitchen wall but they opened out in to your garden?

Or the one where the extension overhang was attached to your wall?

StormTreader · 02/11/2017 16:53

Wow, what an update! I was a devoted reader of the original saga and really thought you'd have had everything restored to how it should be by now, so sorry to hear thats not the case Flowers

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 02/11/2017 18:24

I didn’t see the end of the original last thread - what happened to your wall, OP?! Shock

nonevernotever · 02/11/2017 18:27

It's at the beginning of page 1 of this thread Drink.

JamPasty · 02/11/2017 18:50

Oh crikey, how awful! Flowers for both you and SpanGran
