To think my sister posts too many pictures on Facebook?

Background is, I don’t have children but my little sister is married with toddler aged children.

She lives away from family due to her husbands job and doesn’t know all that many people where she lives.

My problem is, she’s always posting pictures of her kids on Facebook, maybe 3 times a week. She doesn’t tend to update her status or write much, but its these constant pictures she keeps uploading. I get it that she is on her own but I feel like she’s seeking validation or something and it’s grating on me. WIBU to say something to her about this?

Maybe she just likes to keep all her photos on Facebook? It’s a way of keeping them safe somewhere else isn’t it. I do that. I only have about 30 close friends on mine and it’s set as very private and I just post my pics on it. Not sure why you’re so bothered about what someone else does with their Facebook!

Yes you are being unreasonable! That is her choice- it does not affect you, so why care? Just because you don't post as often, it doesn't mean she do the same.

The last time I posted on Facebook was April- that is my choice. I go not judge others for positing more often than me though!

I just think she’s coming across needy. Should I tell her? To save her looking this way to others?

The whole world (well most of it!) uses Facebook and lots of people post way more than 3 times a week! She won’t seem strange to anyone at all, and it’s certainly not for you to worry about! Just ignore or unfollow if you don’t want to see her pics.

How many photos is she putting up 3 times a week? A handful every few days is normal imo.

50 or so every few days is maybe a tad excessive.

That said, it’s her Facebook, she’s not harming anyone.

Eh? You're complaining because there are too many photos of your nieces/ nephews on FB? Most aunts and uncles would derive pleasure from that, especially if they lived too far away to see them growing up. I don't see the problem, sorry. Is there a reason you're particularly sensitive to it?

I love seeing people's smile kids in photos on FB, better than so much of the other stuff. I don't post photos much, but I store them there and only I or my family can access them. Maybe your sister does this. It's a good way of diarising for your kids for after you're gone. The little things. Just unfollow her then she'll never know and you don't have to see them.

I think s few times a week is fine. 5 times a day might be a bit much.

I post photos a few times a week on instagram of what I'm up to. I'm on mat leave so I'm nearly always with my kids. Wonder if people see me as needy?

They are your nieces/nephews and you don't like seeing pics of them?

Or pics of your sister's happy family life?

How often do you visit? Are you supportive? Or just judging?

You are the childrens Auntie, I would have thought you would have liked to have seen them.

Three times a week is not needy, not in the least.

I absolutely love seeing my friends pictures of their babies and children. I post pics of mine. My DD posts pics of DGD.

Haha! Are you serious? 3 a week is not loads and is not needy. It's needy if she unfriends you for not liking enough of the photos when she posts loads (like my friend's sister did to me! 😬)

I can't imagine anyone else would think she's needy for this-have you other issues with her? Probably best you don't share any other opinions with her either under the guise of protecting her from others, as you may be a little misguided yourself

Well you sound delightful. And bitter.

She can post what the hell she likes (within the law!) on her Facebook, of course it doesn't make her look needy!!
