Rose McGowan - who is absolutely bloody awesome in my book - has a petition attacking the Weinstein company by calling for it to be dissolved. While I think this is highly unlikely to be successful in this objective, I signed it because it provides a mechanism for me to voice my protest about the way that the company has let this go on for years and years without stepping in. Yeah. Can't do anything about ISIS accounts showing graphic violence but can suspend Rose McGowan. Of course Twitter did. They're part of the same machinery as Weinstein and the rest of Hollywood. Of course they shut her up. She can only bring down the people they say she can.

The Guardian are saying it has been suspended. Maybe they'll be reinstated it.

I wonder if this isn't why so many leading men ignored it. They've had it happen to them and think it's just a normal part of Hollywood.

Just seen comments from Piers Morgan whose views I usually abhor, calling out the hypocrisy of Hollywood stars who supported and gave a standing ovation to Roman Polanski. For once I agree with him.

I work in a male dominated industry and once on a night out, a director put his hands into my jeans and groped me. I was in shock at the time and didn't say anything. I was in tears after, it was a horrible experience.

The thing is I found out after that he had a nickname 'octopus hands'. A lot of women knew about it but no one ever reported him. I started telling the juniors not to be so close to him, warning them. But I didn't blow the whistle - I didn't tell HR.

The thing is, you don't know if anyone will believe you. You've been trained as a girl to 'be nice' so you don't want to make a scene. You just bottle it up. The power dynamic is such that you don't want to tell the powers that be. So, you keep quiet and softly whisper to other girls.

I totally get where these women are coming from.

So two people (Brock and Argento) both place Fabrizio Lombardo as being complicit (the one Matt Damon vouched for).
Matt Damon who is friends with Ben and Casey as well as Harvey Wankstain (nice one gluteus) and yes, I do think you can be judged on the company you keep.
Talking of which, Ben Silverman should be banged to rights too if Brock has quoted him correctly.
As for Piers Morgan, and why should it surprise me, he has played this to his own advantage. Yes he has called out Ewan Macgregor wrt Polanski but that is still a continued spat over Ewan refusing to be interviewed by him after he was critical of women's marches against Trump.
The Weinstein story was/is huge. Piers was a celeb journo way back when. He has said ''erm..no'' in response to Donna's women were asking for it bullshittery. He has retweeted an interview with a victim and said ''Life comes at you fast'' wrt Ben Affleck.
But unless I have missed an article or GMTV debate (easy to, I follow neither) Piers has yet to nail his colours to the mast. He made no comment as the story was dropping and has made very careful tweets since. Clearly, like many, he knows which side his bread is buttered.

I know sexual harassment IS rife but is there something about "Showbiz" that either attracts sexual predators or enables them? It just seems so extreme in that industry
