Me ex wants me to hand over a rare vinyl I'm not even sure I have anymore. Or he won't agree to the financial arrangements. It cost about £10 when we bought it about 7 years ago.

Totally embarrass the twat by sending a concerned email explaining that you don't think you have it but you'll send out a post to ALL your FB friends asking if they know of anyone who can help. Say in a jolly way that you'll explain that without it you can't get divorced as ex to be won't agree to your financial settlement- help the poor woman whose ex needs this vinyl so much! Look for the record. If you don't have it any more (and it was you who chucked it out/gave it away/donated it to charity) just buy him a new one.

We're all so sure that he is being unreasonable and petty and spiteful and dreadful. All of those things might very well be the case (and divorce is not known for bringing out the best in people) but the only info we have is that he'd like his rare record back.

Either he is being petty or it really is something that means a hell of a lot to him. Either way, give it to him and don't engage with the squabble.
