to think that Paul Bowhill (bailiff) should be Knighted!

Paul Bowhill of Can't Pay We'll Take it Away fame is so kind!
He always goes out of his way to help the evictees; giving his own number, making arrangements for them.
He doesn't just evict and go. He should be Sir Paul!

I love paul! He's such a softy. I could never be as nice to some of the people as he is. Some of those people take the piss and he's calm. I couldn't be!

ToeKneeChestNut · 16/09/2017 20:47

I know! He's amazing. He takes all sorts of abuse and still offers to help people.
I like it when he complains about the lack of support from the Councils for the evictees. He's such a decent human being!

DH and I always say this when we watch CPWTIA.

I love him!

And Vic but that's for an entirely other reason

sparkleandsunshine · 16/09/2017 20:54

PeaceAndLove1 · 16/09/2017 20:56

He's very zen isn't he.

MrTrebus · 16/09/2017 20:59

Helendee · 16/09/2017 21:00

AdoraBell · 16/09/2017 21:02

YANBU

SteampunkPrincess · 16/09/2017 21:05

agreed - he is so calm, some of the others are a bit arrogant... but not him

Stormwhale · 16/09/2017 21:08

I

mateysmum · 16/09/2017 21:08

I agree. Just shows you can get a better result from being firm, fair and kind rather than intimidating people, even those who are taking the piss.
I think I read he used to be a policeman,so used to dealing with all sorts of people and difficult situations and avoiding confrontation. The evictees often end up thanking him.

maras2 · 16/09/2017 21:12

I think that he's an absolute Star
First time I've used the Star thingy.
Oops,did it again.Smile

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 16/09/2017 21:13

I think he recognises that the system can be just as messed up as some of the tenants he has to evict. It's awful that the council tells people that they have to wait till the baliffs come otherwise they will be classed as making themselves homeless.

I watched an episode the other day where a woman was living on the pay of her 10 hours per week job, she had no other source of income and the social services classed her as 'coping' so offered no help.

BakedBeans47 · 16/09/2017 21:14

He's great. I have seen episodes where he's paid to put people up in hotels out of his own pocket.

BeeFarseer · 16/09/2017 21:16

Another fan here! He's amazing.

moondrift · 16/09/2017 21:17

A decent human being, it shines through. He often brings a tear to my eye.

ToeKneeChestNut · 16/09/2017 21:20

Yes! I've seen him pay out of his own pocket too.
He seems to lack prejudice. He just sees people in need, and helps them generously and with great tact and efficiency.
Team Paul!

I mean this really nicely.

Do you really and honestly think bailiffs are like that when the cameras are not on them?

They make a living based on how much money they get back or how many people they evict

Hugs4Everyone · 16/09/2017 21:23

He is brilliant isn't he. He has the perfect voice for his job too. He sounds reassuring, fair but firm. He also doesn't talk too much. IYSWIM.
I feel like he would never lose his temper.
