To be fed up of Instamums

I followed a few of the more well-known Instamums but got weary of the constant daily barrage of brand endorsements. I can't relate to people on £100k a year in Farrow & Ball houses. I just can't. So I had to unfollow em all, every one. AIBU to feel a bit miffed that these people are using the idea of sisterhood to make money? They're not our friends, they're just there to sell us stuff that we probably don't need anyway.

It's funny after reading this thread the things you notice.....

Yesterday or the day before Cara Struthers put up a post about it coming up to her wedding anniversary. Well suprise suprise the PR companies hopped on it and today she's got a notonthehighstreet subscription as an "anniversary gift". Which she posted of course, her "favourite place to get gifts". First gift amongst many, I imagine. All with the expectation of the gift being mentioned.

It's just one hand washing each other, isn't it?

I see the Hoopers have sold the house, I'm looking forward to seeing where they're going, wonder if they'll stay in London.

So long as their page isn't private, all you have to do is click on their profile pic when you go to their page to see the story.

If there's a current story, the pic will have a red ring around it.

I actually trudged through to find the pictures of FOD and the ambulance crew when the twins were ill. Wtf?

I used to like MOD because she was 22 when she had her first, found it lonely etc, I liked her gasandair blog, I liked that she was a midwife liked her kids names and I agree with PP's that she's a nice person who's got too wrapped up in it. It's kind of easy to see how though, imagine that many people thought you were aaaahmazing.
FOD makes me cringe a lot though, has he given up work?
Also I hate the whole obsession with Boden clothing. I think their clothing went down hill years ago!

Surprised no one has mentioned cigarettesandcalpol. She calls her daughter the Tiny Idiot constantly.

I do actually like some of her blog posts though.

I've found their house on rightmove! It is absolutely beautiful. If it all goes tits up she could be an interior designer!

elephant I do quite like her as well. But I don't like the Tiny Idiot thing it just doesn't sit quite right with me and I think she has started advertising recently (unless I am mistaken!)

I quite like them. Some weeks I skip their content if it's a bid #ad heavy but otherwise the good thing about insta/fb etc is that it's easy to skip people you're not 'feeling' or unfollow. It's your page, your content.

Am I over simplifying by saying if you don't like, don't follow?

Have you seen how many prams they have for the twins? From my memory they have a Bugaboo Donkey, double iCandy, double city jogger and some other pretty coloured strollers.
