To be fed up of Instamums

I followed a few of the more well-known Instamums but got weary of the constant daily barrage of brand endorsements. I can't relate to people on £100k a year in Farrow & Ball houses. I just can't. So I had to unfollow em all, every one. AIBU to feel a bit miffed that these people are using the idea of sisterhood to make money? They're not our friends, they're just there to sell us stuff that we probably don't need anyway.

Cara Struthers is pretty droll. She has quite a sarcastic sense of humour.

Chloelovestoshop seems nice but her perfect figure posing in bikinis makes me feel like a heffalump.

Apparently the midwife is going on a child free holiday in a couple of weeks, something about big news or something. Who knows!

They are all bloody awful. Cookie cutter, samey bollocks. Once you've posed in front of one brightly coloured wall, you've posed in front of them all. And flicking a 'peace' sign does not make you cool, FYI.

The effort some of these people go to is just ridiculous; dragging husbands and kids into this shitty social media circus and manipulating every tiny aspect of their lives for an Instagram post. It must be so draining. I'm far happier in the real world and dabbling on MN.

I like Cara Suthers, she's not fussed about taking the mick out of herself. I prefer her dry sense of humour and if you read her blog then you would also agree honest and down to earth. Does she edit her pics to make them pretty.....Hell yeah of course she does. Adjusting the lighting and shadowing does make everything clearer so why not. The blogger who's home made her. I find quite smug in a sickly way, it's a shame she was lovely....I remember her first pregnancy and home...it was a much more realistic feed then.

While me and OH are quite photogenic, our kids don't make the grade (fat and ginger) at all, so I won't be doing this as a line of work.
Added to that, the thought of my young children being wnaked over by some paedo makes me question whether anyone should be posting photos of their kids up on the internet.

The flex appeal one has a bit of an annoying way of comically speaking and immediately laughing about her latest parenting mishap. She is doing something worth while with her campaign however. Had no idea Courtney Adams was super wealthy. Agree her life in photos looks overly perfect.

Flex lady is ok but actually some of the things she talks about are lax parenting. Fair play she forgot to register her daughter for a school place but she is very much 'I am taking one for the team by allowing her to go to shit local primary..... she is sooooo brave'

I'm a good writer and my kids provide endless fodder for witty insta moments, but whenever I've pondered the idea of putting my whole life out there in such a very public way, I just can't get my head around it. I'd feel as though I was exploiting my children.
