I know I am actually BU as it's none of my business etc. Also shooting people is generally not the way to approach such matters.

I feel so sorry for the poor kid. She's going to go through torture at school. Not to mention thee rest of her life. Imagine a high court judge called Tinkerbell.

Not my taste but I wouldn't refuse to give someone a job based on it!

Threads like this make me see why taking names off CVs makes sense. I might introduce it where I work.

If you take names off CVs you can always reject them at the interview stage.

Wonder if the mum is on here? I'd be devastated if a friend had started a thread mocking my baby's name, especially when so hormonal in the early days.

Tinkerbell - poor child. I doubt she'll be the only one at school with a name that the adults roll their eyes at. I've come across a Zelda recently. As in Zelda the Nintendo computer game character.

It's at times like this that you realise that places like France, where you are only allowed to register names that are officially approved, might actually have a point.

When we got our cat from the rescue centre, she was called Tinkerbelle. We thought it was an appalling name fotr a cat, never mind a child.We changed it fairly smartish.

I used to work with a lady who was known as Tink, she had many piercings and tattoos. It was a couple of years before I realised her actual name was Tinkerbelle and I am sure this is why she made her self look nothing like a Tinkerbelle.
