Can anyone share their tales of similar drunken foolishness to make me feel better???

I can't remember most of details but according to a co worker vomiting and falling asleep in bar were involved 😳

OP posts:

my first job. had been there a few months. managers dad showed up to say hi in the bar we went to. I was 17 and shitfaced. Plonked myself down on managers dads knee for the evening and referred to him as Kev (his name was Dave). Managers dad seemed pretty happy. Eventually manager got pissed off and removed me and bollocked dad and sent him home to mum.

What’s with the zombie threads today?

theremustonlybeone · 30/10/2021 20:22

Many years ago I was going through a difficult break up, went out with work colleagues, got smashed on tequila and got carried home by two junior members of staff!

I had to walk into work a few days later and pretend it didnt happen Grin

theremustonlybeone · 30/10/2021 20:22

ah zombie ...didnt realise

Nc123 · 30/10/2021 20:24

I have done many awful drunken things but never with work. OTOH I used to work with a really lovely young graduate who had a relationship with a colleague. The relationship broke up not long before our Christmas do, which both parties attended. As the drink was well in flow, the graduate’s ex was openly flirting with another girl in the same pub, keeping glancing over to the graduate to check she was looking. And she was. As she got more and more upset, he decided to snog the other girl, whereupon the graduate stormed over and slapped him.

She was absolutely in bits the next day and because she was so gutted and embarrassed about what she’d done, the whispers died down pretty quickly. Hopefully it will be the same for you OP

This is funniest zombie thread ever 🤣

Not me but a senior consultant was falling over within five minutes of leaving the office. She fell over at the bar and God knows how, managed to scoop the entire office round of drinks onto her head as she went down. Next pub fell into the Christmas tree and we all got thrown out. The next day she was the first person in the office sober as a judge. Totally styled it out.

Pugmumm · 30/10/2021 20:32

I feel so much better thank you GrinGrinGrinBrewBrewBrew

georgarina · 30/10/2021 20:37

Girl I work with threw up, got put in a cab, threw up again then apparently felt fine so asked the cab to turn around and go back!!

Switch82 · 30/10/2021 20:39

Told our regional director I would be CEO one day. Must admit our Canadian MD was visiting and offered me a job that night.

Our RD said I wasn’t good enough! Up yours to him have set up my own business and our 9 month turnover is already over £200k

Pugmumm · 30/10/2021 20:39

@Diva66

Resign. Immediately.
Really?
AudTheDeepMinded · 30/10/2021 20:39

I once woke up after a wedding in a mutual friend's house with no idea of her address. She and her DH had gone on holiday straight after the wedding so I was alone and couldn't remember arriving. I wasn't even sure for quite some time as to whether I was in France or Switzerland (The wedding was in Switzerland but very close to the border). I had to sleuth round the house looking for mail to figure out where I was to try to arrange a taxi to the airport to go home.

Fizzy pop for me going forward I think!! @TableFlowerss

It's the word vomit and the total unmistakeable confidence that just overcomes me. God knows what I said yesterday!!!

Pugmumm · 30/10/2021 20:48

Oh my god 😂😂🤦🏻‍♀️ @AudTheDeepMinded

Don't worry... I laugh but I would not even know how to handle that.

Benjispruce5 · 30/10/2021 20:49

Sympathies OP, we’ve all done silly things. I’d I were you I’d bring in some cakes etc and leave I your staff area with a note saying thanks/sorrySmile. I’d have to be on best behaviour next time though.

Pugmumm · 30/10/2021 20:50

Sorry to those with the pissing and shutting stories. If I had shit myself on a works do I would resign on the Monday.

Pugmumm · 30/10/2021 20:50

Shitting*

IncessantNameChanger · 30/10/2021 20:53

@Williamshatnershorses that wasnt the one where the office party in the pub noticed the shaggers in the office opposite was it?

NoDecentHandlesLeft · 30/10/2021 21:06

One of my colleagues once passed out cold in a bar, hit her head on the edge of it and got carried away in an ambulance...
Another male colleague did a strip tease on the stage of a nightclub to I'm Too Sexy....
I'm 100% sure many people will have been worse than you! Brazen it out.

NoDecentHandlesLeft · 30/10/2021 21:06

I'd not even go back, I'd ghost them
User00000000 · 30/10/2021 21:08

My manager invited us back to hers for a few drinks after the works Christmas do. I proceeded to get absolutely shitfaced on prosecco and passed out on the couch. Then vomited on myself.

Manager had to get me out of my vomit stained clothes and put me to bed in her spare room.

I was initially mortified, but it turns out she was a bit of a wild one in her younger days and she saw me as a bit of a protege after that!

Wizzbangfizz · 30/10/2021 21:20

This is one of the funniest old threads I've read!

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 30/10/2021 21:22

I once needed to be escorted back to the train station after throwing up- l then went into the men's toilets but told them they were in the womens

We used to have wild parties back in the day. Toilets broken, someone was in the wheelchair from occ health because they couldn't walk, out til 2 back at my desk at 8....those were the days.

Couldn't do it now.

HerRoyalNotness · 30/10/2021 21:29

Gained the nn Bruiser after a night out. The entire top of my arm was bruised and I have no idea how I did it. To be fair, no one else I was out with did either. A mystery to this day

WhoKnowsProbsNotMe · 30/10/2021 21:55

Got too drunk and while outside waiting on DP picking me up tried to lean on a sign which was on springs (in the cold light of day very obviously on springs) obviously done a slow motion fall, the director tried to catch me on my way down…needless to say I took her with me and we both literally went rolling down the path in the pissing rain…and I’m pretty sure my silk floaty dress done me no favours 😂 I had the worst fear but when I got into work on Monday turns out I was actually one of the better behaved 😂😂
