I know he is very posh and comes across as old fashioned and a bit quirky/eccentric, but he came across very well on Question Time, made some good points and seemed to understand a lot of the problems people are going through, was articulate and not shouty.

I know a lot of people will hate him simply because he is "posh", rich and old fashioned but would he make a good Prime Minister? I think he would.

Is that you Jeremy?

No he didn't, he just regurgitated a lot of Tory lies and pretended to care and understand. Caroline Lucas was the only one with any grip on reality.

everymummy · 08/07/2017 14:40

If Nanny says he can and he eats all his eggy

ilovesooty · 08/07/2017 14:41

Yes he really understands problems people are going through. Hmm

Look at his voting record.

CommunistLegoOoOoBloc · 08/07/2017 14:44

He's a misogynistic, racist, classist, homophobe. But because he's a bit quirky and has those adorable owlish glasses, yeah, let's vote him in!

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 08/07/2017 14:44

He has no v Luke about what the 'lower class's go through, his life experience if that of a extremely privileged white male who has never ever struggled

BertrandRussell · 08/07/2017 14:44

Have a look at his voting record before you decide.

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 08/07/2017 14:44

No clue*

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 08/07/2017 14:47

What is the evidence for him bring racist, sexist, homophobic? Other than him being public school educated which I realise in these parts equates to being an emotionally constipated fascist. I am no fan of the man twatty brexiteer that he is but I am aware of no evidence of the above crimes

ChestnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 08/07/2017 14:48

Fuck, no. Are you insane? This is the danger of the 'personality politician' trend.

MrsTerryPratchett · 08/07/2017 14:50

Look at his voting record.

Hulder · 08/07/2017 14:51

He's Boris Mark II.

Clearly all you have to do to impress a certain sort of Brit is wear a posh suit, speak in a posh accent, go to the right school and have the right name - everyone then assumes you are highly intelligent and should run the country, no questions asked.

It's not the Middle Ages any more and we have moved on from feudalism.

To make it easy for people.

The80sweregreat · 08/07/2017 14:59

Just no. He is everything thats wrong about the establishment.
The mail had a piece on him, they seem to like him.

newdocket · 08/07/2017 15:01

His voting record is abysmal. I can't get my head around anyone thinking he could be prime minister material

NotACleverName · 08/07/2017 15:01

Yeah. Great choice for PM. 🤔

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Pawsbutton · 08/07/2017 15:04

Can't bear him - he is ridiculously out of touch.

He is anti equal rights for LGBT people and, with his views on benefits, would happily push people into poverty.

He maybe the British favourite - the upper class eccentric - but a man of the people he isn't.

He seems keen to exploit his children by bribing them with toys to attend his canvassing and also appears in the Fail (today) with his family.

He's basically a privileged, right wing dinosaur.

Nothing wrong with being born into the upper classes, but it does appear that his roots rule him and that he has little concern for the poor.

noblegiraffe · 08/07/2017 15:04

We appear to have got to the point where electability is decided by whether you're funny on Have I Got News For You.

TheHouseOfIllRepute · 08/07/2017 15:05

There is still a lot of cap docking in this country.
A posh accent and upbringing and they are born to rule

purplepandas · 08/07/2017 15:06

Agh. He is my MP. No clue about the reality of local issues. He would be awful!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 08/07/2017 15:06

No, I dislike him because he's a Tory with an atrocious voting record.
And of course the mail likes him, male, White and posh. Just the type they like to defer to.

AdoraBell · 08/07/2017 15:10

Place marking. Sorry, but I'll forget to check voting record if I don't.

cdtaylornats · 08/07/2017 15:11

Caroline Lucas was the only one with any grip on reality

Well at least she's trying something new for her.

memyselfandaye · 08/07/2017 15:13

Oh yeah, he's a real man of the people is'nt he

Or just another posh, privileged, chinless wonder Tory boy who has never inhabited the real world and never will.
