I posted a thread about my daughter going to the royal opera house / her amazing ballet teacher.

DD has a life limiting illnese ...has various tubes.
Loves loves ballet.
3 months ago she met her ballet teacher as a part of school but unfortuntly could no longer attend die to wbc etc
So ballet teacher offered her weekly 1-1 sessions and refused payment.
She then organised the trip to the royal opera house and took DD aswell which was an amazong day.
Daughter needs alot of care and I had an important meeting one day and she was the first to offer to have DD.
So she took her to the park for the day and has learned everything she needs to know.
Trained by CCN team in the tubes and emergency care.
Is doing a marathon to raise money for DD's illness.
Comes to visit her / does lessons with her when DD is in hospital even bringing gifts.
I was unable to get DD to ballet for her next lesson so she offered to pick her up from home and take her, then I will pick her up.

I have never met anyone so kind and she so unphased by the medical side.

Just thought it was nice to share a kind story for once !

So many people are genuinely touched by stories such as yours and it is lovely that we can realise that we can make a difference to someone even being Just one person.
How lovely that your daughter and this lady are mutually benefitting from this friendship in an otherwise difficult situation...

waitforitfdear · 28/06/2017 13:53

Lovely op I Think you posted before about your dd? What a wonderful trio you all are and the teacher is amazingly kind.

tiggerbounce77 · 28/06/2017 13:54

You don't know how to thank her? Maybe the difference she has made to your child is enough thanks that she will ever need, knowing that she has helped build her confidence and made her happy, I think that's says it all really, it sounds like your daughter is very lucky to have her in her life :)

Goldenhandshake · 28/06/2017 14:02

She is a beautiful person! I love hearing that there are still genuinely kind, wonderful humans out there :)

Liiinoo · 28/06/2017 14:05

She sounds amazing. You and your DD must be pretty amazing too, to inspire such care. Flowers

reuset · 28/06/2017 14:06

That's marvellous!

A few threads on here where people have complained about problems accessing dance classes because of medical and other needs, and less than accommodating teachers. So it's heartening to hear.

babybubblescomingsoon · 28/06/2017 14:12

Aww this made me cry. Your DD is a very lucky little girl to have you both who love her so much. Flowers

NotTooWorried · 28/06/2017 14:22

That's so lovely. Could you nominate her some award or something?

innagazing · 28/06/2017 14:28

It's so heart warming to read this. Great that you have some support too, as I imagine it's much needed and appreciated.
Is your daughter still fixated on Swan Lake, or has she widened her repertoire? The Nutcracker is lovely..

viagrafalls · 28/06/2017 14:32

How lovely to hear something so positive for once, what a lovely lady. One in a million. X

MissionItsPossible · 28/06/2017 14:33

NotTooWorried That is a brilliant idea. Totally look into doing it OP.

CatThiefKeith · 28/06/2017 14:37

Could you perhaps nominate her for one of these?

Womans Weekly Award

British Citzen Award

Just so she knows how amazing she is?

Mulberry72 · 28/06/2017 14:38

I remember your previous thread about her, she sounds a truly amazing lady!

I agree with NotToo could she be nominated for some sort of special award?

Lonelymummyof1 · 28/06/2017 14:38

I tried nominating her but I could only find one sort of award and they already had shortlisted :( I know she is a RAD teacher so maybe I could ring the royal academy of dance ?

OP posts:
reuset · 28/06/2017 14:40

Yes, contacting the RAD might be a good idea.
