I posted a thread about my daughter going to the royal opera house / her amazing ballet teacher.

DD has a life limiting illnese ...has various tubes.
Loves loves ballet.
3 months ago she met her ballet teacher as a part of school but unfortuntly could no longer attend die to wbc etc
So ballet teacher offered her weekly 1-1 sessions and refused payment.
She then organised the trip to the royal opera house and took DD aswell which was an amazong day.
Daughter needs alot of care and I had an important meeting one day and she was the first to offer to have DD.
So she took her to the park for the day and has learned everything she needs to know.
Trained by CCN team in the tubes and emergency care.
Is doing a marathon to raise money for DD's illness.
Comes to visit her / does lessons with her when DD is in hospital even bringing gifts.
I was unable to get DD to ballet for her next lesson so she offered to pick her up from home and take her, then I will pick her up.

I have never met anyone so kind and she so unphased by the medical side.

Just thought it was nice to share a kind story for once !

I love reading positive threads for a change, your daughter looks so happy bless her, just seen the picture Smile.

bettytaghetti · 28/06/2017 15:48

Can MNHQ amend the title to include mascara warning?

What a wonderful person to have in your daughter's life; I do hope you find some way of getting her the recognition she deserves.

Who is cutting onions... what a wonderful lady! Halo

sloanewarrior · 28/06/2017 16:07

She sounds so very special. In these times of bad news in the papers seemingly every day, it's really lovely to hear of someone doing things to make someone else happy. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Epipgab · 28/06/2017 16:08

Wonderful!

QuizteamBleakley · 28/06/2017 16:09

Oh, this is so touching. My hayfever seems really bad sniff. Can I ask what county the dance school is in? I can send you a nomination linky.

Lonelymummyof1 · 28/06/2017 16:10

How lovely to hear such a beautiful story. Flowers

Helendee · 28/06/2017 16:13

That's made me cry, how beautiful. Maybe there are Earth Angels. I wish you and your little girl the best of everything in the universe. Xx

Cupcakey · 28/06/2017 16:16

What a lovely person... but you know it's true how lovely people are drawn together so says a lot about you and your daughter too. I'm sure you and your daughter enrich her life as much as she does yours xx

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 28/06/2017 16:17

How wonderful Smile. I also have something in my eye...

I'm so glad that you found each other. Thank you for sharing such a positive, wonderful story OP.

QuizteamBleakley · 28/06/2017 16:20

@LonelyMummy - Then I think a [http://britishcitizenawards.co.uk/ British Citizens Award] might be exactly the right kind of thing. Good luck and thanks for sharing!

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 28/06/2017 16:21

How lovely! You could also nominate for a Royal honour (BEM probably) if that's your thing - link here www.gov.uk/honours/overview you can make a nomination and they can add additional info to it if she does other things eg volunteering etc.

QuizteamBleakley · 28/06/2017 16:21

...I meant British Citizens Award , obviously. Bad Quiz.

UnbornMortificado · 28/06/2017 16:22

After the past few months it's lovely to read a thread like this.

I'm so pleased she got to experience it.

Yes to the onions.

Lonelymummyof1 · 28/06/2017 16:25

I do not know what else she does, I know she has only began teaching a year ago and before that was ballet dancer.
I do know the 2 older girls ( teenagers ) who have a session after my DD are both suffering with severe mental health so guessing she genuinly just likes helping others.

There is something particularly special in being loved by someone who doesn't "have to".

I'm not surprised that it's increased your DD's confidence as this teacher has shown her that she is lovable and worthy of her time without any other reward.

Both of them sound special people - you don't sound bad yourself... :)

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 28/06/2017 16:30

Should have said in my post by the way, you don't need to have details of anything else she does, although it's helpful if you have the address of her employer for example. The Cabinet Office use whatever information you can provide as a starting point and will gather extra info from other sources if possible.

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 28/06/2017 16:33

How lovely!

Decaffstilltastesweird · 28/06/2017 16:39

Thank goodness for tubing mascara!

She sounds wonderful op. How amazing that your DD has met this woman. I swear these people turn up in our lives for a reason hippy. Agree there is something lovely about being loved by someone who could just as easily have been indifferent to you. Your DD must be pretty awesome to inspire that sort of love in a teacher.

krustykittens · 28/06/2017 16:48

So nice to read a good story, you all sound like such lovely people. x

Whatsername17 · 28/06/2017 16:52

Your dd's teacher is clearly a lovely person, but, do not underestimate the joy she clearly gets out of teaching your dd. Clearly, she is a wonderful child who inspires such love and dedication. You deserve to feel very proud. Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 28/06/2017 17:07

From the title I thought this was going to be about someone doing something horrible

Now I seem to have something in my eye. What a lovely story. I truly wish your DD, you, and her inspirational teacher all the very very best Thanks

LittleBeautyBelle · 28/06/2017 17:21

I too have a little something in my eye.

MrsNutella · 28/06/2017 18:54

This is just so lovely. Thank you OP for sharing this loveliness.

I'm so pleased for you and for your DD. Just, lost for better words. Except for Aawwwwww!
