I posted a thread about my daughter going to the royal opera house / her amazing ballet teacher.

DD has a life limiting illnese ...has various tubes.
Loves loves ballet.
3 months ago she met her ballet teacher as a part of school but unfortuntly could no longer attend die to wbc etc
So ballet teacher offered her weekly 1-1 sessions and refused payment.
She then organised the trip to the royal opera house and took DD aswell which was an amazong day.
Daughter needs alot of care and I had an important meeting one day and she was the first to offer to have DD.
So she took her to the park for the day and has learned everything she needs to know.
Trained by CCN team in the tubes and emergency care.
Is doing a marathon to raise money for DD's illness.
Comes to visit her / does lessons with her when DD is in hospital even bringing gifts.
I was unable to get DD to ballet for her next lesson so she offered to pick her up from home and take her, then I will pick her up.

I have never met anyone so kind and she so unphased by the medical side.

Just thought it was nice to share a kind story for once !

I really do think she needs some recognition, I was suprised when she had her first lesson she was not phased in the slightest.

Dam the onion fairy!
Sounds wonderful, glad that the teacher found her way into your DD's life.

MineKraftCheese · 28/06/2017 14:47

I remember your previous threads and this is wonderful to hear. Your daughter sounds amazing and this woman has a heart of gold.

You're doing so well for your DD, giving her these opportunities.

blankface · 28/06/2017 14:47

What a wonderful woman your dd's dance teacher is. I hope you find some form of award for her that she'd be proud to have. Flowers

Belle1616 · 28/06/2017 14:51

That is lovely :)

NKFell · 28/06/2017 15:03

What a lovely woman and it just goes to show there are some good people about.

As PP said, contacting RAD is a good idea.

ArchieStar · 28/06/2017 15:05

Definitely contact RAD.

She sounds like one amazing person and DESERVES the recognition of this! Finally a happy human story GrinGrinGrin

WinnerWinnerChickenDinner0 · 28/06/2017 15:07

That's so lovely.
I remember your story about trying to arrange a trip to the ballet for your daughter.

You are obviously a wonderful person to find the beauty in the world when you must have so much on your plate. Good finds good in this world.

A mention to RAD would be a lovely gesture

Lovely update to read lonely, I'm so pleased your DD enjoyed I was just thinking about her the other day Flowers

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/06/2017 15:10

Is yours the gorgeous little girl in the picture with the dress? I which case no wonder her teacher loves her!

I think there are wonderful people out there. My DD's friend at school is in out out of hospital, wheelchair, hearing aids, operations, all sorts. There is one wonderful teacher at the school who takes him everywhere, first to ask how he is, first to help the family. And she doesn't come across as particularly nice. But she's good IYSWIM.

Did you ever get the picture photoshopped?

UnbornMortificado · 28/06/2017 15:12

You are obviously a wonderful person to find the beauty in the world when you must have so much on your plate. Good finds good in this world.

This 100%.

Your DD has an amazing mam as well as an amazing teacher Flowers

Sometimes these beautiful souls are meant to cross our path. How lovely for your daughter and for you, she sounds incredible.

Lonelymummyof1 · 28/06/2017 15:19

Yes I was the one who asked about swan lake and taking a year old 😂😂

She ended up going to the royal opera house and attended there lessons , saw the diff parts , shoe room ( a fact for you they go through 6000 pairs of ballet shoes a year !! )
She went in the dressing room with them for make up and then went to the stage with them had a dance and then we sat and watched their performance

That's amazing. It does the heart good to hear about people like her. I bet she'd be delighted if you made an award for her, out of cardboard and glitter!

Aeroflotgirl · 28/06/2017 15:43

Wow so pleased to read this, how fantastic. I remember you post about taking your dd to the ballet. How did it go? It is great when you meet someone who just gets it. My daughter who is 10 has ASD and learning difficulties, and her wonderful carer is fantastic, goes above and beyond what she should be doing, and gives it 200%

ArchieStar · 28/06/2017 15:44

Oh my god OP!!!

Your DD has the worlds best friend and worlds best mama bear helping her. How amazing are you both!!
