I love this dress and am thinking of wearing it to a wedding next month with a black hat. However I'm hesitating for two reasons - (a) it's full length (but I hate my calves so would like to cover them if possible) and (b) it's predominantly black - and the bits of it that aren't black are white!

What do you think?

I like it and think it'd be fine for a wedding

CruCru · 27/06/2017 18:25

Yes, that is fine for a wedding.

SweetChickadee · 27/06/2017 18:25

I think it's lovely

Funko · 27/06/2017 18:26

Bloody lovely! Make the hat big and feathery!

SleightOfHand · 27/06/2017 18:26

I'd say yes if it was knee length.

Ladyformation · 27/06/2017 18:27

Yes it's lovely and appropriate. And I'm normally a 'don't wear black or white' recommender.

LadyPenelope67 · 27/06/2017 18:27

Beautiful. Enjoy the wedding.

IllBeAtTheSpa · 27/06/2017 18:27

Wow really like that!

Owlettecatboy · 27/06/2017 18:28

It's gorgeous.
You will look great!

SinglePringle · 27/06/2017 18:28

I think it's a lovely dress but too much of a 'ball gown' for a wedding. I know it isn't actually a ball gown but there's something about it that moves it on from being a maxi dress.

Whatsername17 · 27/06/2017 18:29

It's lovely. Id go with a fascinator instead of a hat.

Ameliablue · 27/06/2017 18:29

I'd say fine

Foxysoxy01 · 27/06/2017 18:31

Very nice. I agree on a fascinator rather than a hat tho.

redshoeblueshoe · 27/06/2017 18:31

it looks lovely

jarhead123 · 27/06/2017 18:32

Its gorgeous!

AgathaCrispie · 27/06/2017 18:33

It's fine. It's nice! I wouldn't do a black hat though.

imonaplane · 27/06/2017 18:34

Gorgeous! I'd wear it to a wedding.

NC4now · 27/06/2017 18:34

Ooh, like it. I'd skip the hat though.

MrsJakeLovell · 27/06/2017 18:35

Just because I'm not keen on polka dots!

I'm with Sleight and Single, I don't like the length. No problem with the cut or colour, but the maxi length doesn't look right for a wedding IMO.

RiversrunWoodville · 27/06/2017 18:36

Oh it's fabulous yes yes! Agree with the fascinator idea though

Poorpearl · 27/06/2017 18:36

I didn't know that full length was a faux pas at a wedding Blush

TheMogget · 27/06/2017 18:38

Love it. Think a hat will be overkill though. I've worn a maxi dress to plenty of weddings (no heels required Grin)

Purplepeonies · 27/06/2017 18:41

Oh it's lovely!! Id get a black fascinator rather than a hat. Very nice though and totally appropriate!

Funnyface1 · 27/06/2017 18:43

Yes I like it. It's wedding appropriate, I wouldn't think of you as wearing black in a negative way. Get a nice headpiece.
