1 for breakfast and 1 for dinner in the evening?

twentypence · 21/03/2007 09:30

Any good reason it has to be McD's?Personally I would love this as ds has allergies and it would be one of the few places a school could take him. Could it be something like this?

KristinaM · 21/03/2007 09:30

yes you are. let her go. she will feel very left out otherwise. you may want to ask the school to plan the next trip a bit better though

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 21/03/2007 09:31

yes. it's a one off. it'll be an adventure to go to mcd's for breakfast, just this once.

LilyLoo · 21/03/2007 09:31

Is the whole class going ?

harpsichordcarrier · 21/03/2007 09:33

blimey, yes.
what are your reasons?
what damage do you think will be done by having two MacD's in a day??

schneebly · 21/03/2007 09:34

I think 2 in one day is a bit bleurgh but as a one off I would let her go.

PrincessPeaHead · 21/03/2007 09:35

I must say I think that is CRAP, what the hell kind of message is the school giving to the children by taking them to McDs twice in one day?
Have none of you seen Morgan Spurling's film?
It is unmitigated shite, and you think it is OK for them to feed them there twice a day?

Don't let her go. And tell them why!

TrinityRhino · 21/03/2007 09:36

A little unreasonable and alot silly
2 maccy d's in one day...not ideal but I'm thinking she never goes to maccy d's at any other time so one day wont hurt
she'll have a ball on the trip

hertsnessex · 21/03/2007 09:36

id ask the school why they had to go twice, and id say i wasnt impressed, but id let ds's go as i feel they would miss out on the other part of the trip.

PrincessPeaHead · 21/03/2007 09:36

"it will be an adventure to go to McDs for breakfast"

In whose universe?

This from the site that executes people who give a fruit shoot and a sausage roll for breakfast - what, pray, is the difference?

NotanOtter · 21/03/2007 09:37

i would not let her go - what sort of a school does that?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 21/03/2007 09:37

Two in one day is a bit OTT. And a bit lazy on the part of the school.

Couldn't they find somewhere else to go, or take a packed breakfast. Is it such an early start that they won't have breakfast at home?

Where are they having lunch?

TrinityRhino · 21/03/2007 09:38

yeah I've seen the film but I've also eaten a MArs Bar and they are utter shite aswell

a little bit of shit now and again wont hurt you

I do agree that they should sort something better out infact is robinpud a regular?, recognised? cause I'm starting to feel a little surprised that this would really happen.

twentypence · 21/03/2007 09:38

I don't like the fact that ds's kindy gives away HUGE bars of chocolate as prizes for a piddly little cycle ride, but I don't stop him going.

Cappuccino · 21/03/2007 09:39

where is the day trip? to an out-of-town retail park?

twentypence · 21/03/2007 09:39

I've seen her around.

LilyLoo · 21/03/2007 09:40

LOL cappucino robinpud are you there ?

Marne · 21/03/2007 09:40

Its only a one off, i dont see whats wrong with it, explain to her that its just a one off and you wont be taking her there evry week etc..

It wont do any harm will it?

webmum · 21/03/2007 09:40

I'd let her go, for all tthe reasons mentioned here, (once will not kill her), but i would let the school know waht ou thiunk about it!!

NotanOtter · 21/03/2007 09:42

what is the point of the trip?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 21/03/2007 09:43

It's a McDOnald's tasting trip NOA lol!

twentypence · 21/03/2007 09:44

Robinpud - I think we need more information before we come off the fence on this one.

NineUnlikelyTales · 21/03/2007 09:45
