I think Banksy is doing the responsible thing to save our country from a Tory government. It is the public duty of anyone who is aware of the lies that are being peddled and the constant message from the media of "vote Tory" by smearing Corbyn to try and make people think for themselves and seek out the facts. Unless you're extremely rich you will find that life gets more difficult with a Tory Government and all their plans for further unnecessary cuts that will bring the NHS, public service and etc to their knees. I hope that everyone is working through both manifestos carefully and that the media (who are owned by self serving millionaires) play no part in these decisions as they are duping many people into believing that the Tories will improve their lives and scaremongering with fake news about Jeremy Corbyn. Just remember the lies on the side if the bus during Brexit, we can't let people be duped this time, it is so important! Banksy gets my respect for making people think about the alternative .. as well as Noam Chomsky and Stephen Hawkins who have endorsed Labour and Bernie Sanders who hasn't been touring the UK speaking positively about Corbyn. It is the responsible thing to do.

Rules are rules, even for graffiti artists, regardless of which party they support. He could always have stood as a candidate if he is that popular, or campaigned legitmately.

I mean... much of the Tory base would not be a fan of Banksy's work anyway, if we're to assume that many Torys are socially conservative, not just economically conservative.

So I don't think it'll have the desired affect.

Much as I don't think that there ought to be any prizes for guessing where Banksy's political sympathies lie, I think this is a spoof.

There's nothing in the law that specifically bans taking photos, but the Electoral Commission very strongly discourages any photography inside a polling station, primarily because of complex laws about maintaining the secrecy of the ballot. For instance, it's illegal to reveal how someone else has voted, which could happen inadvertently via a sloppy selfie. In addition, taking a photo of a ballot paper's unique identification number is against the rules. The key is a law against releasing any information "obtained in a polling station", which is in order to protect the integrity of the poll.

It's been reported to the police who are investigating and have warned that anyone taking bribes for votes is committing an offence. I wouldn't give the arse any more publicity.

But it is illegal to try to induce (as opposed to persuade) someone to vote in a certain way.
