Personal thoughts? No. I don't think so. This is not an average person with average sensibilities and a sense of honour. I reckon he'll throw anybody and everybody under the bus to protect himself.

I obviously watched a completely different hearing.

President Donald Trump described former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former acting Attorney General Sally Yates as starting "to choke like dogs" during their recent Senate testimony as a part of an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Again, were we watching the same testimony? Yates' testimony was clear, articulate and her command of events was masterful. He's nuts!

I think any pauses from Clapper and Yates were careful considerations as they were making sure they did not talk about anything classified or that in any way would jeopardise the investigation.

cozie what you said upthread is so true! It's a marathon, not a sprint.

We can't lose sight of 2018 by thinking 'oh it'll all be done by then'. I mean, we don't even have a special prosecutor/independent counsel now and that authority rests with AG Sessions and/or the GOP majority Congress. I can see Sessions doing it so it may actually take the 2018 elections to get the majority needed to get Congress to move on that.

Just keep thinking 2018.
