I also posted a link to a story yesterday that a court has ordered Kobach to produce the paperwork and info he gave to Trump regarding this and to make it available to the ACLU. Court also made it clear that Kobach and his attorneys skirted the law by not providing those materials. It might be a pointless thing to put him on that committee as he looks to be in serious legal trouble.

In more positive news concerning climate change etc. The US's chairmanship of the Arctic Council has ended now and despite wanting any mention of the Paris Accord eliminated, Tillerson was forced to sign the papers that still talk about the Paris Accord and other climate change things. So hope in that area.
