I've been rumbled, cold Baked Beans.

DH is home from work with a sickness bug and he caught me with my secret snack which I have most afternoons before he gets home - baked beans, cold, straight from the tin with little chunks of extra mature cheddar cheese stirred in.
He thinks it's disgusting. I think it's heaven in a tin. I said everyone has a secret 'gross food' they love, he says they don't!

Who's being unreasonable here!? Grin
I've always hidden it from him, probably because deep down I know it's a bit different.
What are your sneaky snacks that no one knows about?

My not so secret food is baked beans mixed with curry powder, pasta and cheese Blush

Tunnocksmallow · 03/05/2017 18:58

YANBU cold baked beans (but only Heinz Grin) straight from the tin are the absolute pinnacle of best gross food.

Bobbins43 · 03/05/2017 18:58

Boiled potatoes with lots of butter and some salt. Served with a slice of bread and butter.

RedBugMug · 03/05/2017 18:58

yanbu
my weird snack is bread+pesto+cheese+jam

BillyButtfuck · 03/05/2017 18:59

Oh yes it has to be Heinz!

Cold beans are fab, but not as great as my all time secret gross favourite, canned beefaroni.

wellhonestly · 03/05/2017 19:01

Cold second-day pasta here.
Or custard straight from the carton (has to be cold, mind, from the fridge).

Bananamanfan · 03/05/2017 19:01

It's tradition in my family to have cold beans with shepherds pie & bubble & squeak. It is a future dh/bf test for me & my dsis s

Asmoto · 03/05/2017 19:05

YANB remotely U - cold baked beans straight from the tin are one of my favourite foods. I don't like them eaten hot. My way of gilding the lily is to stir a spoonful of mayonnaise into the tin with them.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 03/05/2017 19:06

Crusty white bread with lots of butter, piccalilli and ketchup. Yum.

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 03/05/2017 19:06

Cold baked beans are the only way I eat them. If DP is having them with dinner then I'll eat my portion out of the tin first Grin

LadySalmakia · 03/05/2017 19:07

I know someone who has purposefully never fed their DC heated baked beans so she never has to faff about warming them up. One of them made it to 6 before she realised that the hot baked beans Nanny did were the usual way of doing it and not a special treat!

Mine is supernoodles covered in cheese.

NotEvenListening · 03/05/2017 19:09

Yanbu. I love cjeap rice pudding cold from the tin. It actually makes my mother retch if she pops by and catches me

Kentnurse2015 · 03/05/2017 19:09

This whole thread makes me feel a little bit queasy!

Borntoflyinfirst · 03/05/2017 19:12

Everyone in my family eats cold baked beans. I have never heated beans for my children. My DH is the odd one out here insisting they need to be warm! I also eat cold spaghetti in tomato sauce out of the tin without heating too.

SweetChickadee · 03/05/2017 19:13

oh god no, just no....

arleybarley · 03/05/2017 19:13

Mushy peas straight from the tin Blush

BrevilleTron · 03/05/2017 19:13

Sugar sandwich
DP says it's disgusting
(Haven't had one for about ten years)

Anyone else admit to it?

ToothTrauma · 03/05/2017 19:14

Horrible tinned macaroni and cheese made into a sandwich with plastic bread Blush

Glittermakeseverythingbetter · 03/05/2017 19:14

Heinz cold baked beans (mini half tins), drizzled with heinz salad cream, eaten out of the tin as a summer snack here.

Kelsoooo · 03/05/2017 19:14

Oh I beat you all.

Oxo cube + hot water in a mug. To drink.
If I'm feeling super decadent, a slab of strong cheese to dip into it.

I did not realise this was weird until the room of people (DH, MIL, FIL, Aunt and Uncle) all stared at me like I was a lunatic.

Or tortilla chips dipped in mango chutney.

Kelsoooo · 03/05/2017 19:15

@breville I love a good sugar sandwich!

DurhamDurham · 03/05/2017 19:15

Mushy peas straight from the tin with a liberal glug of vinegar. Mmmmm

TheDowagerCuntess · 03/05/2017 19:16
Shock
BrevilleTron · 03/05/2017 19:17
